but now i need to figure out what to use in my offhand beacuse the mace is 3.0 ratio naturally id assume putting that in main hand.

The pet claws have a lesser ratio but the pet procs would cover that im sure, while the battle fists have higher ratio and would likely be better for discs?
would i see enough procs off my offhand to make the pet claws worth while?
I dont have a good parser set up anymore so cant really do in depth parses and id have to unfilter a whole whack of spam to see the actual parse.

No the new Vox/Naggy raids they put in unlock the items and if u dont win it through bids, you can acquire points via doing the group missions, this one cost 42 pts..
Id heard the save platinum fists with max pet AA parsed about the same as a 3.0 ratio weapon so thats why im still holding onto it up to now.
It will in a main hand when not discing and the pets are able to reliably hit their target, iirc.
However I'm not sure about offhanding it.
WARNING. Soe has said that they WILL BE NERFING the MM's Gear. they are saying that the gear is greater then the new underfoot group gear and so by leaving them it make the new gear nul and void so they will be nerfing it all.
before you switch out I say but your old stuff in the bank and wait for the nerf before you make any perma changes.
well all the higher stuff from the MM's is slot 8 so it should be higher than group gear... and yeah i expect a nerf but hoping its not too hash.... what they should have done was make the event harder so not every guild on the server could get a MM and go pwn the raid... im hearing of people 3boxing naggy.. thats just rediculous...

since the main dmg from the fspfs is from the pet procs, you will be cutting the pet dmg in half by offhanding it (half the proc rate).
Given that, my instincts say Battle Fists.
And yes, offhanding FSPF really does seem to cut the proc immensly, so FBF for Offhard (depending on the outcome of the nerfing of the weapons from MM missions).
/chuckle.. guess I'm glad I've not been playing much last few weeks to get those MM items and then see em nerfed ;p
I'm tentatively saving for one in the hope it won't be completely nerfed to pointlessnes. This thread however did open my eyes to just how poorly SFSPF performs when offhanded. Not sure its better than offhanding a dire cesti, but I'm back with FBF and Xangef's o/h'd until the next upgrade appears.

FSPF is better offhand then Cestii, it's just as fast and only 3 dmg lower, the proc will outdo what those 3 dmg would. Melee dmg wise Cestii and Fists are very similar, think cestii does about 20-30 DPS more, but the proc in offhand would do around 150-180 DPS making it better. Add a 3 dmg aug into Fists and you get Cestii's melee dmg plus the proc.

Nice weapon, but FSPF in primary and morning star in offhand is still better DPS (can't get rid of that damn fabled weapon). I was using the MM Piercer and Morning Star for a while and that combo just matched Fabled and Morning Star combo.
Haven't tried it with anything less than maxed pet aa, but Cami is right - fabled pet weap in primary > basically all. Haven't got lessonteacher yet (lotsa monks want it, and I ganked Soulsunder off them so I feel guilty) but I'm not entirely sure if even that combo is better for non disc killing.

If your pet aa's are maxed, and weapon affinity/combat effects maxed... prolly nothing for normal group exp'ing, as long as you have bandolier hotkeyed to swap out best ratio weapons for when you use empathic / BA... Again, still waiting on lessonteacher to test it, but on sustained parsing, pets from fabled are 465-485 dps. Considering our basically afk autoattack on dps is pretty average, then that's a big % of dps...
I have found that the length of the fight determines which to use. Short fights you might as well keep the non-fabled weapon. If it takes longer to kill a mob, stick with the fabled.

Why do you want to take it out when you use them ?
The base ratio isn't that good really (39/19 or something - can't remember off hand) and when you use a disc that boosts your melee hits, you get a better return off a higher ratio weapon. On burns I use soulsunder mainhand, and MMM h2h offhand (not even going to stress about getting lessonteacher now - I can wait for underfoot) unless is KW raid then use MMM screwdriver offhand for the piercing bonus.
