We really need to get an answer from Merloc just as to why everyone on of our BST only items (the armors) and now the ring from an Ashengate instance, are devoid of endurance. I realize that Anguish armor and our class item from Demiplane also lacked endurance, but this was introduced before we received Rake. And while I do not think it will negate its use much, it still needs to be addressed.
/agree. its silly that bst armor doesnt have endurance, when we clearly do use it.
It's just how it has been for awhile. Zaj has said on a few occasions now that we are "hybrids" blah blah blah...
Will try again with merloc, but this isn't an oversight or a "bug" per se. *shrugs*
It definitely isn't just us though. The issue was brought up as recently as beta by atleast one other class and then the answer was the same old "hybrid" blah blah blah thing. *shrugs* Would be a nice change and believe me I don't really understand not having it there.
Rangers are having the same issues as well. Perhaps we could work up something w/ Ladwenae and the ranger community on this?
It isn't like we are asking for the same amount of endurance to hp/mana on class specific armor. Heck it probably can be half and be sufficiant. *shrug*
If our skills keep going down this road and not having gear anser to it, well we be in a pickle that is for sure.
The class only item ring also has no focii. This is a considerable oversight considering how focii dependent we are compared to everyone else. If they put Ranger or Bard on that ring it would make zero difference.
If your talking about the the groupable class only item, none of them have any kind of focus that Im aware of....

Yeah but the groupable class specific items are just as bad in lack of foci.
If current raid gear is 400/400/0 and they dont want to give us 400/400/400 would you be willing to accept 400/200/200?

I would think 400/400/200 *shrug* Cutting mana like that would hurt to much, but the halfed endurance on class specific pieces will help a lot I think.
I think it is sad that I have more endurance now then if I would go all Anquish armor, pieces of gear that are suppose to be upgrades. Adding at least half endurance to them, as mana and hp, will at least show some gain endurance wise. Making us a little more likely to go class specific armor then being almost forced to go multi-class items.
I realize it's his first expansion, but I think the job Merloc did in itemizing TSS was pretty lackluster. Creativity is not one of my strong suits, but I can certainly compare items. The lack of focuses, wrong itemization, and lack of attention to classes in itemization is almost unacceptable. I personally think he needs to put in some extra hours and fix TSS itemization to be at least on par with past expansions, but preferably slightly better. It's too late in the mudflation to try to even things off. What a braniac.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Zajeer do the itemizing for TSS?

Don't take this as gospel, but I personally think that Zajeer didn't want to lose his itemizing job, so in order to spite the new guy, he made the items in expansion totally fugly in order to work the new guy really hard.
That, or they moved him because he did such a fubar job on this.
Zajeer was in charge of itemization while training Merloc I believe

Well any which way you slice it, they did a bad job of itemizing an expansion the whole team was proud of making. I thought this expansion had a whole lot of potential but it seems they just put out another ho hum add on. Happy happy joy joy.
So far in TSS I have seen nothing I want to trade my DP/DK gear with except for a few augs.
After the Demi Plane itemization success I really hoped they had figured out what us Bst's need, I guess i was wrong.
At least I get to save some dkp for next time (if ever) they hit the right spot again
noticing a lack of agility on our class gear too or at least on the pieces I am wearing common we are an avoidance class after all...

I sent a PM to Merloc about lack of endurance on beastlord armor and the fact that it has a DS mod on some of the pieces from Tier 2. He said he may look into changing the stats some and adding endurance on hybrid armor in the future. Lack of endurance was actually designed that way on purpose.

Yay an answer! It's another "no, we aren't gonna do anything" answer but thats impressive. :(
The real lose I think is weapons and class specific armor, both on the grouping and the raiding end.
Weapons, mainly on the grouping end, are way to off the mark and remain to be stagnate. It is bad that the best RvR group weapon is a level 20 quest item 1 handed blunt. 20 daamge 36 delay item. (I say this jokingly of course.)
Class specific armor, specially the specific item peices like our ring or monk shoulders high end or what ever might be the casual items like that. They simply lack any extra mods or appealing value compared to items as such in the past.
Only one person I know of hasn't agreed with these 2 problems, but he is a lunatic fringe of the warrior community and probably should been booted from the comminuty boards a long time ago.

Nah at least Merloc is willing to listen some what, even with some lack of feedback, and is suppose to be doing some review on some of those weapons. *shrug* We will see I suppose.
Thing with BB, is all he said was correct about was some of the intentions like weapons like Despair and BoTE, and the context which they came about. This is the only thing I really seen Merloc agree on.
BB on the other hand extends those thoughts to a sell deluded seperatist movement of raiders and none raiders. *Shrug*

It seems they have been taking away strg since around Anguish and DON Dragons and its hard to find Earrings and Rings with Strength and everything has DEX. I am sick of DEX on all Rings and Earrings, why can't we have Strg, Dex, Agility, Wis, OR STrg, Dex, Agility, INT. Please stop taking away the beastlords Strength on items. Theres tons of items in Demiplane, Anguish and so many expansions that they can add Strength to on various items just to make tons of folks happy.
