Title: PoE Arbitor
Post by: Noxdowne Draggout on January 11, 2004, 02:44:05 PM
Last night in PoE we did all of the rings, killed the croc and made the Arbitor pop in just under 5 hours.

So we were feeling kinda good about ourselves and we cleaned the tunnel leading to the Arb and reached the area just outside of his reach.

When we entered into his "chamber" there were 2-3 adds in there and although we beat the Arbitor it was a total wipe and we didn't get to hail the PP.

The ae was nasty and the adds were worse.

We were buffed for resists very well and yet his ae dot just kicked the crap out of us.

My question is to the guys here that have done him.

Is there a trick to this guy?

Did you lure the adds away?

Did you figure out a way of pulling the final few mobs from his feet before engaging him?

Any tips and strat would be greatly appreciated.

Heck my vote now is to camp a cleric and have a rogue sit back just incase we need to power rez :)

Thanks in advance.

Nox

Only done it once, but we had no adds, used MGB paragon/elixir/sotw and just killed him before his AE got us. It's a painful fight but there's no special trick to it, good ol' kill mob dead and heal raid fight. -_-

High DPS, stay out of AE range, use MGB heals.  Radiant Cure is the only thing that cures the AE and it drains mana, so one thought I've had is to put all the heal rot in a group with a bard, but we haven't done it yet.  You might also want to consider where you are fighting Arbitor.

Use fero on the clerics for the resists....they are the key. Just kill him fast and theres no problem.

Make sure folks get chromatic disruption cured before engaging the arbitor.  The -resists from chromatic disruption make it even harder to resist the arbitors elemental judgement.

yeah, you gotta get taht crap off ya before pulling him - and do it ASAP after after killing the last mobs & pull asap.  Give the tank a sec to get his agro, then unload all out on him.  Need fast burn, with healers/nukers either out of range if possible or corvered by bards at the least, and MGB paragons/wood/ee are a big help.  It's almost like Corny - you havea very limited amount of time to send him to Freeport before the fight gets away from you.  Here it's the mana drain you are racing, whereas Corney it's his adds, same strat tho, burn fast, burn hard.

500 MR and this fight is trivial. INT casters should ditch Focus of Soul/Seventh in exchange for Shield of Maelin.
