I liked the Hole at those levels.  At the time it was a Hot Zone, but right now down deep at lvl 70 it is still better than Veksar for exp (according to some sources).  Here is a post with good solo hunting zones from 49-59 http://www.beastlords.org/forums/index.php?topic=464.0

In the space of 1 lesson I was able to go from 48 to 51 using the Druid DS method in CoM. Again this was using both lesson and PLing so YMMV but the mobs really go down quick. I would look at getting some DS potions from the baz and go to town. Bit of a hike if you can't find a ride to EJ but not bad really. Just 2 zones (FoB>EJ) but is Kunark so the zones are on the bigger side. Throw a lev on and you are gtg. Coin loot is decent and some of the drops can sell for smaller amount and/or trib.

A good and very easy spot is Echo Caverns.  You can easily plow the mobs here and level up pretty quick.  I would take about 40+ mobs per hour here and level every 2-3 hours till 50 or 51.  Also the zone is almost always empty.  The bulks/stonegrabbers/fiends start going lb around 48 and most are lb at 50.  The gnomes in the zone go lb around 51 or 52.  There isn't good plat here though.

Another good spot for Plat but not experience is Cobalt Scar Wyverns.  They are mostly db till 53 and 95% are lb at 55 but they drop platinum, gems worth 43pp each, hides that sell for 100-200pp to players, spells and something like sulfur (forget name) that also can be sold to other players.  There is no experience bonus in this zone but it will be very good plat.  The only issue is you can not zone back to PoK or anywhere close by from here.  If you come here either stay and log off for 6 hours and use return home or have a gate potion.

One more spot though not easy at level 48 is Velks.  The mobs will hit hard till you level up more but they dont run and the zone is usually empty now that its no longer a hot zone.  The mobs dont drop much if any coin but they do drop velium pieces/bricks/blocks which can be sold to other players and they drop crystaline silks which are useful to tailors and again can be sold.  You can actually get good experience here until 61 when most go lb and by that time this zone will be trivial.
