Is Scout Vyrak KOS to mobs in EJ?

Just asking cause hes the last scout I need for completion of this part of 1.0 - and for the past month - either I have REALLY bad luck with timing - or my thought is that he may be KOS to the flowers/gorillias that roam around the place.

Thanks for any info that you can give me on him.
