I'm still having trouble understanding all these new quest armors/factioning. I took my break just before OoW release and came back beginning of febuary just before DoN.
Basically, what do I do to get started on any or which one should I concentrate on instead??

you just have to hand in your armor to the kitty(kizash) to rework it , then get a meldstone+snakescales to make the padding its like 250 tailoring , droppable item, then talk to Nasalrine to get the tanning component, this one hurts at 10.5k :) then combine the tanning component + padding (no fail), lastly the infused padding together with the Reworked  armor, Enjoy Qvic Armor )

 Ok tyvm , just got the boots made ) Yea the 10.5k would hurt , but guild covers that , just hurts the already neg 100ish dkp  :-o
