What damage aug are you talking about?  Which proc aug are you talking about?

The Fire/Cold/Stun DD augs are -150 resist, iirc.  The Lifetaps have a much stronger resist check (very very hard to resist).  Lifetaps have great utility for many, and are worthwhile even if they're a dps loss.  Stun has the interrupt/agro utility as well.

Raw damage augs are the most reliable dps for certain.  As for the specific aug, use the calculator above....raw damage augs are also lower agro than DD procs of any sort.

Depends on a lot of things, for example what is your accuracy and combat effects? Generally proc augs tend to give a little more dps than damage augs, however procs can be streaky and they do generate more aggro. By the way, that is only valid for beastlords (and probably bards) as we do not have double attack, with double attack a pure damage aug wins.

Best of course are those combined augs that add pure damage and a proc.
