I've been away from EQ for 5 months and my friends don't get on 'till after I've been on for about 2 hours. I was wondering a good place to solo to get the last 2 yellows in lvl 69 and then grind some AA's solo. I just got my Lesson and Infusion. Thank you for any advice.
Oh by the way, Magelo is up to date.
i hear good things about veksar provided you can find a camp spot.
A place I haven't seen camped too often is the sewer bit in the upper right corner of the map (NE I guess). Granted I was there leveling up some toons while grouped so not sure how good it would be solo. My cleric would only cast a heal every couple mobs though. This is with me runnning ~10k hp buffed, 3 LT augs, decently good (IMO) non raid armor, and ~560 AAs. Can't check magelo at work so not sure where you sit. The mobs there and including the monks, hands, and highborns(?) I think were all or mostly db at 70.
That said be careful in the new hotzones as they have a (very remote/slim) chance of "calling" for help. When that happens a named of the same race will spawn and assist. If you drop it, it should have some decent loot. Hasn't happened to me but have read about it. Might want to keep that in mind in terms of how low you let your hp/mana drop while fighting there.
if its something with the network blocking you from looking at magelo put https:// and it should work.

Working fine for me when I tested it
Still get a bunch of garbage characters when I try that.

Sorry for the derail :-)
Go to Internet Options - "Advanced" tab.
Enable "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections"
Should fix the problem.
Yeah tried that a while ago. IE thinks it should be trying to download something and then says "Bsst - you can't do that from this site".
Yes it really makes that sound too....
