Can't you just turn your screen resolution to 640x480 to get the original UI?

I think Daarr is talking about the old old old UI with the framed view, with the chat box at the bottom, and the good ol camp/sit/run buttons on the lower right.  You know, the one when you med with the book open, you can't see anything one. ....

OMG, has it been that long....

P.S.  You younglings have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?

LOL I am indeed talking about the old old UI from when the game first came out. Had some shots on an old pc, but forgot to save them before giving it away. Now I'm having a hard time remembering exactly what it was like.

Do  they still have that little training demo? If so I think it used the old UI, not only could you see it you could actually use it, with original models no less!.

There is one or two ui's on eqinterface (or used to be, i found them once when i was looking around) that try to emulate the old style. Other than that, I'd say maybe check back on some guilds homepages that archive news and go waaay back in one of them and see what you find.

Hee remember when you couldn't wait to get to 45 so you could med with out the book.  Also remember when you made a new character and you didn't spawn at your guild. You accually had to go find the person to turn in your first letter to get a silk shirt or robe.

I also remeber when you had to wait to hunt rats in FP until you where level 4. Snakes and bats would almost kill you. I snake rest. 1 bat rest. hee those where the days.

This was 35, not 45.

i played with that ui all the time with my monk.   that way i could fd w/o turning around and use the reverse angle window (when you open your inventory) to see behind me so i could watch the mobs as they wandered away.
