npc for epic 2.0

hey all, anyone know what i been doing wrong, when i obtained my epic 1.5, and now i wanna start my epic 2.0, the npc dont say anything when i hail him and i say to him:  wish to continue to walk among the elders  he dont respond, what shall i do now? (

When you just "Hail" him, is there any text?

And assuming you haven't received the piece of wood from him yet?
