But if you don't raid, then you do get all these things.  Our slow is 2/3 of top shaman slow (remember to calculate MOB attack rate, not slow percentage). A non-raiding BSTs DPS (from all 3 sources) is about 75-80% that of a monk's. Focus of Allandru/IoS is 60-65% as effective as a shaman's stat-topping buffs and focus. Assuming that non-raiding players are using at least 36% haste from tribute, our haste is 90% that of a shaman's.  The thing is in a grouping situation, if you group with a class that focuses in your "almost as good as" ability, then you don't use that ability. The only ability where second-best counts is DPS :).  BSTs make viable group partners, all the way up until their DPS falls behind that of a high end pally - at which point, having a second slower for adds who can offtank for 2 ticks is much less useful than having a real offtank with the same DPS.

Give me gobs of proc spam, that's exactly what our class needs.  Weapon ratios could stay the same which would make it easier to ballance, but give us an innate proc rate modifer.  If we suddenly started doing 50% more proc damage, what sort of effect would it have on DPS? Use worn combat effects to help alter the ability as we progress through content while keeping lower level beastlords from becoming overpowered.

It could really be the niche that could set us apart, be easy to implement, tie in well with our AA pool, and not require any notable changes to the current weapons found in game other than Ethereal Destroyer and the Txevu weapon.

They would have to add an innate ability for our proc's to not be resisted, and I personally think that the code involved with making a certain class more liable to proc + more liable for the procs to not be resisted, would be a headache.  Or perhaps give us a self buff spell, that allows us to proc (much like Shaman's proc line), but also, upon procing, gives a resist check that bypasses the horrible resists on raid mobs. Its just an idea to solve our problem with dps on raid mobs.

FYI, as gear progresses, beasts fall farther and farther behind.  Parses between a monk and a beast comparatively geared, discing and using everything at there disposal, would likely yield a 1/2 ratio, meaning that the monk would do twice the damage, during the period we would.  Another interesting idea, would be to add more discs for us, or extend the length of which the Fury line of disc's is activated for.
