Hi all! Just hit 70 and am wondering where would be the best place for me to go. My gear is average (will post a link to my magelo at the end), and I'm looking to grind out AAs. I want fast kills, not really close fights leaving me with 10% HP and no mana. I also have yet to get my runes for the 70 spells, but am farming Gloomfang with a warrior/shammie two-boxer guildie. Just wanted an easy spot to go to grind out some AAs when nothing's going on in guild.

Here's the magelo: http://eq.magelo.com/profile/1361703

Thanks in advance!

Hiya! I have similar gear, I have DoN weapons though, with lifetap augs. 70-something AA, mostly defensive. I solo just inside The Steppes, taking on the snakes and the lizards there. Easy peasy, they're not agressive, and they don't assist. 2-3% AA per kill. I bring along stacks of HoT and DS potions.

Thanks for the advice! Tried the Steppes lizards and snakes and they very nearly ate me alive.  :-( Even with backing off to heal and let pet tank, I was using at least one HoT pot per fight, and survived with around 20% health. Think they're a bit too much for me, as I don't really have any defensive AAs and not enough DPS AAs to make much of a difference.

At 70 I was living in Grieg's End, making a few kpp and two aa's or so per hour. I started out having to slow mobs and after 300 aa's earned there, I could run into a room, aggro 4 or 5 mobs and without slowing any, live to tell about it. Most of the old names drop nice tribute items and the newer nameds from the prior hotzones have some decent sellable loot.

think murks in wos should still be good

Far end of the Hole might be decent exp.

Inner Grieg's End is likely the best place to get some AA's that will open up other possibilities.

To be even marginally effective in soloing for AA's you need to start defensive AA's. Get 3 ranks of Combat Agility, then 3 Ranks of Combat Stability and Physical Enhancement. After this the next 5 ranks of Combat Agility (what used to be called Lightning Reflexes) and the next 5 ranks of Combat Stability. This will get you the defensives with good return - you won't need to bother about the rest of those lines for a while.

First of all though: Buy 285 Radiant Crystals and get a Deepsky Stone from the good side DoN merchant. Buy 285 Ebon Crystals and get the Deep Sky Stone from the evil side Merchant. Put these two in your Epic and move your Vein Sap Pearl to the offhand. This will get rid of the AGI aug in the offhand slot 4 and replace it with a lifetap. Not you just need to finish those defensives, get 5 ranks of Weapon Affinity to increase the proc rate by 50%.

you can get a better offhand weapon from DoN merchants, too

Can get despair from one of the mpg trials also...need a group, but it's fairly easy to do.

GE would be a great choice for you.  It may sound counter intiative, but I would get some of the offensive AAs first.  I would especially get all the ranks of BF for your level before moving to the defensive ones.  More DPS = faster kills = faster AA.  Getting lifetap augs is always a good idea.  When you get all the healing AA they will really shine.  After all the ranks of BF you should then work on the defensive AA up through PoP.

Okay, went through inner GE for about three hours, got 3 ranks into Combat Agility, as Tiroon suggested. I have yet to get the DoN lifetap augs, but plan on getting them as soon as possible. My next step is to get the three ranks of Combat Stability and Physical Enhancement. Then, I'm going to finish off BF as far as I can go, then finish the five ranks of Agility and Stability.

I would get a better offhand weapon, but I'm saving up my crystals for the lifetap augs. MPG trials are nearly out of the question, as my guild rarely has more than 12-14 people on a good day at a raid. We accomplish quite a bit with few numbers, but we're focusing on DoN progression before we move onto MPG. I will keep that in mind when we start the trials though.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone; going to go update my Magelo now. Will give an update on progress once I'm finished with what I need to do. Thanks again!

Despair was 60kish iirc in Bazaar last time I saw one on FV...maybe more.  It won't take horribly long to make that kind of cash in GE from cash drops.  I always made several kpp each time I went there.

despair

for the despair trial
you need only 4 5 or 6 people you can even start it yourself and get a pickupgroup with the classes you think you can do it

1 tank some classes that can fear like necro chanter maybe druid for the wolves and a healer and some dps

its really easy triall
just try it a couple of times and hope the despair drops for you

other mpg grouptrial missions are also very easy and give around 200 hp mana items

dodh missions are also easy to gear up
the best way is maybe farm tbs katta missions will take some time but at ally you get like 280 hp items and also you can buy some very decent weapons hth and 1hb etc like 24 21 etc

I am boxing 69.1 hard with my Beastlord and Druid on Firona Vie 3-4 times a week to level my Druid.  If I can do it with 2 people you should have no proplem doing it with a full group.  The mobs are level 73 and are good Reg/AA experience.

As for gear you can get 70hp augs for both ears and both fingers from RSS or bazaar.  That will add 220hp over what you currently have.  You can also add 55hp augs to your shoulders, back and waist which will add 140hp.  You can finally add 50hp augs to your wrsits, legs arms etc and add another 200hp.  Just from augs you will add 560hp.

Hunting grounds for you hp/aa level:

Griegs End
Splitpaw
Steppes
Nobles Causeway
WoS (grouped)
MPG (grouped)
RSS (grouped)
69.1 (grouped)
Katta (grouped)
Icefall (grouped)
Vald (grouped)
DoN (grouped)

i also noticed you dont have a haste item. if you are not running haste on tribute, then you need to either get a haste item or turn on haste tribute
