Scaledfang

the VT staff was divided into 3 pieces i think... (shards aside)

Kherryn

Technically 5, if you count Rolfron Zek, God ofthe Kobolds.

There's 4 Ro's, I believe (Fennin, Solusek, Druzzil, Ayonae...although Ayonae was created from Druzzil)...although there might be 3 Thules...I don't think they've split/splintered in any way.

Giledorm

Aye, 3 Thules...  Cazic, Terris, and Morrell.

Snowmeow

Anyone tried:
O N E

this seems a little more of a classical riddle than eq related.

Ankhefenmut says 'I had not thought you'd get this far. Most of Norrath's history is forgotten, but this is encouraging indeed. The final riddle you must answer for me, is this -- They were one that splintered in to three.'

Being that the other two answers have been old world stuff I got thinking more.

-------------ANTONICA------------ should be the answer.

Then all the races/zones came and Antonica was divided into:

East Antonica
South Antonica
West Anonica
Greyseer Skullbasher

Gatito

I still think the Marrs is the right answer though I haven't been able to get the sphinx to like any variation I can come up with.  If you read the description of the deities on SoE's website it talks about how Tarew Marr created Mithaniel and Errolisi and that there is some confusion about how he did it.

"The people of Norrath know little of him, and his relationship to Mithaniel and Erollisi Marr is a source of constant debate amongst their followers. He is believed to have given physical form and intelligence to the influences of Love and Valor in the personages of Erollisi and Mithaniel Marr, respectively, and given them power over their namesake planes."

I've tried Love, Valor, and Water but that doesn't work.  Neither did Marr, Marrs, their names or any other combination I can come up with.

I'll be at the sphinxes all day today trying anything I can think of.  :P

Fitez Derdy

i think the key here is to note that the one no longer exists ... they were one that splintered in to three.... so we are looking for 3 things that came from 1 and that 1 no longer is.

Gatito

That's a good point Fitez.  Now that I re-read it, that seems right to me.

did a search of 3 and choose things i dont remember see in

representing all of the three virtues: good, evil, and the gray neutral between them both

I still think the water idea fits better then the elves b/c its common for everyone to know of the elves split but what happened before mankins creation only the gods and the creatures here long before man and elf would know of.

splitting into three differing clans

The decision was split three ways

QuoteTry "Elddar Elves." That's the "official" name of the "real" original elven race.

Was suggested in the Lore section of EQ forums.
