I was pleasantly surprised to note the fast recast and initial gem refresh time on this, really used to bug me waiting for our old pet haste to be castable.

I didn't notice...I've been keeping a spell gem reserved for it, assuming that it was still a long refresh.  If the pet buff timers worked perfectly (instead of only including buff extension effects after you zone) then it wouldn't be such a big deal, since you could prepare for it.

I have found that any time i cast a spell on the pet, it will correctly set all the buff timers already on the pet. In other words, cast a junk spell as the last spell and all others (the important ones) will show the correct time remaining.

hehe I know it's sad, but the fast refresh on growl was one of my favorite things from our omens line up.  8P
