Are any of you using an LCD monitor to play EQ?

If so, what manufacturer/model number, and what is your overall satisfaction with the monitor?

I use two of them.  They are 18" Dell LCD's.  I'm sure they are manufactured by someone else though and just stamped with the Dell name.

They look very sharp and crisp.  Once in a while, you may catch just a hint of ghosting.  If you are in to serious graphic design, the blues are just a little off.  Overall though, they are awesome.  They perform great and I have some desk back now.  I can't see myself ever going back to CRTs on new purchases.

19" Envision LCD (and 20" Sony CRT)

For what I do (games/quicken/surfing) I absolutlely love it, and would never go back.  Get yourself a wireles/optical keyboard/mouse as well and all of a sudden you have all the deskspace you need.

I have a 20" CRT (2box), and with both at 1280x1024, the 19" LCD is much crisper (text is easier to read in chat windows).  No real ghosting that I've noticed.

I use a 17" Viewsonic VA720. I absolutely love it. Never had a single problem with it. Colors are great and the picture is crisp and clear.

I did A LOT of searching before I picked a LCD (FedEX just dropped it at my door. Can't wait to get home now) and after reading a lot of reviews and checking prices I found this to be the best deal..

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-112-125&catalog=20&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=0

PC Mag rated it in the top 3 for LCD's. Every review I read about it was nothing but good things. I looked at lot of LCD's on ebay and even put in a bid on an 19" Envision LCD (very good LCD by the way just a bit pricey) but everytime I kept coming back to the SCEPTRE X9g-Komodo II..

It has a USB hub (only 2 inputs though) DVI, RGB and 15 pin Analog. 25MS Responce Time (pretty standard for a good LCD), native rez of 1280 X 1024 at 75MHz..

If you are looking I suggest taking a look at http://www.sceptre.com/Products/LCD/Specifications/spec_x9g_komodoII.htm.. It might be worth it. Aoso NewEgg seem to have the best price and has a name for themselves so I went with them.

That'd be "monitors".   :P

I use an Acer 17", can't remember the model number off of the top of my head, but it's a low refresh rate.  I'm very happy with it and when I have spare £££ I will be buying two more for my other PCs.

I've used Samsung SyncMaster 171P, Samsung SyncMaster 151V, and an 15" Envision (forgot the model).  They all work well.

Just one thing.  The Envision I have does not have VESA mounting holes so it cannot be mounted on rails.

I use a Dell 2001FP 20 inch LCD. Check it out on the net.

The main reason for getting it is due to the 16ms pixel response time. That means near zero blurring of moving images. That is especially rare for a 20inch display.

Remember, for LCDs, especially for gaming or movies/tv watching, what you are looking for is PIXEL RESPONSE, not dot pitch or refresh rate.

Same here.  My old monitor was going out and I decided to give these a try.  Glad I did. :)

I use a 50 inch sony vega 3 LCD in svhs mode. the small text is a bit fuzzy but looks great otherwise.  Not what your looking for though :)

I use a Samsung Syncmaster 172T and would never go back to a CRT monitor, everything just seems nice and sharp and very easy to read, just need to try and get rid of Bazaar lag now without reducing clip plane (probably an impossible dream but you never know :D)

Not to derail the topic, but.....

Try reducing your viewport size. Just make 2 hotbuttons. One to downsize it and one to reset to your default. That way you just have to click the button when you enter and exit the bazaar. I use a little smaller viewport in my UI and have not had a problem with lag since installing it (although I do have a gig of ram which helps alot too)
