Top 5 DPS?

I've played a 65 rogue...you can't argue that their DPS isn't awesome, but the utility they bring to groups is almost nil - ALL they bring is DPS.

IMO rogue DPS is right where it should be: if you can handle the eternal boredom that playing a melee class brings with it, you should be the best at DPS - or the best at tanking - or whatever it is that Monks are supposed to be best at (*wink*).

Point is that playing a rogue is boring boring boring - they deserve that DPS.

Aggy does bring up a good point.  Unless you are going somewhere where there are locked doors, or lots of traps...  the only real use for rogues is sustained melee DPS, not dependant on mana etc.

Which is exactly why I love rogues in my groups.  Their sustained melee dps over the course of a long xp session, or several ldon missions will top that of any other similarly geared dps class.  The fact that they do not rely on mana or disciplines allows them to keep a high sustained dps.

However, in the short term you are better off with a wiz.
