Well, it's been... an eternity, I think, since I played Tig. At least 7 years, wow. I'm totally lost in the woods. Still downloading the files to play, and trying to remember how to setup my UI, and other stuff. Anyone wanna help an old cat straighten his whiskers so he can play again?

Some help wi what's happened to the class in the past 7 years would be awesome as well.

While I'm at it, I could really use a quick crash course on setting up my ingame macros for disc/skill combos, and AA hotkeys... can't for the life of  me recall how to even begin.

Are you starting at 75?   What server do you play?  CNTRL C or ALT C brings up the combat discs window.  You will also need to setup your abilities (kick is the main one).  You will need to know what number you have kick setup on the list.

Your spam macro will look like this:
/doability 1  (kick, if you have it in the first ability slot)
/altactivate 247 feral swipe

This is where you put all your short term discs, abilities, and AA

You will want a spell spam macro

/cast 1
/cast 2
/cast 3
/cast 4
/cast 5

Put the most damage spells at the top and then every time you hit this button it will cast the most damaging spell you have ready.

Biggest change ever is pets can now hold aggro over players in melee range.
At high levels our nukes have .5 second cast times.
DOTs are still very bad...use direct damage spells (you will get more lines of these at higher levels)
You can have a merc (Tank, cleric, wiz, rogue)
You can buy all your spells in PoK.
You can get daily tasks in POK in the HOT zones (zones that give more exp) for excellent exp rewards.

Dude. So much has changed. I may not be viewed well for this, but I copped out and bought Heroic for Tig. He's now a lvl 85 bsty. I have a lot of catchup to do, but so far my crashcourse is quick.

Btw, I'm on the Rathe. It's where i started, may well be the end as well lol.


Hey, is it possible (and preferable at least technically allowed) to still use DPS parcers? If so, how I find them and how I use them?

Also, still gotta do the pet hold/stay spam to keep pet under control in group/raid enviro?

Things to do...

1) Do the quest in Feerott for the J5 merc
2) Make a hotkey for FD
3) Download Gameparse to parse your DPS
4) Turn on auto-grant AA
5) /pet ghold  - this will keep your pet under control and not attack until you tell it to attack even with AoE's going off.

I have downloaded Gamparse... and it won't work. Interestingly, neither will Magelosync...

Do you have logging turned on?  No logs...then there is nothing to parse.  Make sure you are loading your logs from your "logs" directory.

If I recall you need to give EQ rights to run as admin so that it can log files.  You might need to do that with GamParse as well.  Sorry, I can't recall, it has been a while.

Beimeth at the Sony forums is the current maintainer/author of GamParse so he may be able to help if you can't get it sorted.
