I always thought that if you gave a pet a no trade/no drop weapon he would simply destroy it.  After watching a shaman give his pet a BST/MNK only weapon that was no trade, I decided to do the ultimate test.  After doing several runs on Time to get my bard the Songblade of the Eternal, I had also managed to pick up a couple of the Hammer of the Timeweaver on both my BST and Bard.  What could be more fun then warder with two pet procing weapons.

What was funny was the weapon pets actually showed up on parses.  Zorthaz's Warder's Pet actually produced a whopping 12 DPS against T3 TDS trash mobs ;-)

That's awesome and very timely. From the discussion on the below thread I was pondering giving pet some of the uber crafted weapons but figured once you aug them they become no trade and thus wouldn't be usable by the pet. Now I just may have to give it a go

Just some notes on the Hammer of the Timeweaver.  First, it doesn't proc all that often and second, the pets last 2 seconds and third, sometimes when I am switch targets using the nearest npc shortcut I end up with Zothaz's Warder's Pet in my target window. :lol:

UPDATE: They patch it again so you can no longer give your pets "No Trade" weapons. 

Bummer.....
