Item mods part II

Hi, looking for more info about item mods.

One thing that has me confuse is the difference for instance between a mod:

Spell Shield: +5 and
Spell Shield: +5%

I know this 5% is 5% less spell damage. But the +5 I do not.
Do both type of mod stack? If so do you know why they would bother putting two different kinds in? What does Spell Shield: +5 do exactly? And likewise for similar effects like Combat Effects? I don't know.

I have searched the steel warrior forum and this one. So far this is what I come up with.

Stun Resist: Increase chance for resist stun.
Strike Through: Chance to land hit that npc would otherwise avoid.
Accuracy: Increase chance to hit. Same question on what non-percent value do.
Dot Shielding: Take x% less damage each dot tick. Not sure about non % value like the rest.
Spell Shield: Take x% less damage from nuke. Not sure about non % value like the rest.
Shielding: Decrease damage bonus from npc by x%. But what about mods like +10 shielding?
Combat Effects: Increase chance to proc. How much %? Most combat effect i see is as +15 not a percent. How much combat effect for 1% more proc rate?
Avoidance: Warrior board say +10 avoidance means 1% less chance to hit. This only effect I have good info about.

All of these above will stack with each other?
Whether Mod: +5% or Mod: +5 ?
I will be upgrading my equipment soon. I would not like to ask for item with effect that do not stack with my current one on equipment.

For instance I have glyph prayer ring with +5% spell shield.

It say Spell shield +5. what the difference?

Look up your ring on Lucy.  Notice how the spell shield is listed there.  They stack.

Yeah, Grymlok's right.  Lucy just doesn't always have the % sign, but it's the same thing.  They will stack up to whatever the cap is (which I don't know).

I believe spell shield cap is 35%. Don't quote me on that tho.

Hrm, I always remembered the spell cap to be 25%.  Anyone confirm which is right?  Ive never gotten past 11% so its just second hand knowledge.

The next question is what is the cap for avoidance. With Time tunic and Pants of Furious Might we can get to 40 avoidance. If Avoidance is capped at say 35 then there may be a reason to complain since we won't get full effect from our time gear.

I guess you will see a cap in avoidance if you dont get the "extra ac" items with avoidance give.
