What does it mean when you all are talking about tether? He has a range that he can go away? whats the range?

It means they only have a certain distance they can travel before warping back to their bind point.  Best way to "see" the tether length is to agro a couple and make them chase after you till they poof back to their bind point.  It's kind of fun . . . like throwing a rock at a dog tied to a tree type of fun . . . ok, maybe that's just cruel, but these girplans have it coming to them I tell ya.  

I don't know the exact length, but it's a relatively small size compared to the size of the zone.
