Detrimental Range Focus Items

Hi folks.

Although this does not primarily affect BST's, I was wondering if gear that has a Detrimental Range % boost focus for spells affects the "distance" or "range" of spells cast by Chanters specifically I mean AE or PB mez spells?  Was gona post on the chanter forum but figured I would post here first, this being my home and all. One of my alts is a chanter and I have always wondered if those range + % focus items would also affect the range by which mobs are affected when I have 5 incoming and normally wait till the LAST possible second to tash and AE mez.  I have noted as of late that unless I am damn close I don't get them all which is painful to say the least (resists notwithstanding).  I mean I know the focus affects how far you can single slow or tash or nuke a mob but was wondering about if the range of the AE or PB beams is also affected.

Enc have Beam of Slumber AA for that, its a cone mezz.

Aye use that all the time, was just hoping that anything, something would aid or help in the AE mezz spells I use.  KK thanks.
