No.  If you want your pet sow in dungeon, you have to use the single target one.

Its only 48 points... I guess it does depend on what level you are.

In any case, its not important at all.  I'm skipping over all the LDoN spells.  I think most of us are too.

Run Speed 3 is faster than Pack Shrew if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, according to my guild, RS3 is the same speed as Shrew.

Ah well, either way, I have Run Speed 3 so I don't even worry with Pack Shrew.

It's also nice for the Infravision. I always use PS in AC. I never bothered to get Run3 and now I am glad I didn't!  I always target another group when I am soloing to share the gift of PS to others :)

I think the best benefit of Pack Shrew is the ability to cast it on your entire group, indoors. The ability to cast a slightly watered down SoW inside is of great benefit. I'm currently only lev 51 so a lot of the people I group with don't have time invested in aa's yet (as do I) - hence no run3. I'll go for the single cast version as/when I get the points, but for now, pack shrew serves me and my groups well.

Obviously this view may change when I start to get a little higher in levels and group with more players with run3. I can see how it would be of little benefit to them.

Pack Shrew is invaluable. Never underestimate the power of an MGB Pack Shrew at PoK bank!

Single target shrew is valuable.  You can cast it on your pet while in dungeons. Your pet will never fall behind then.
