Giving a pet a Mithril Two-Handed Sword

I was wondering if giving the lvl 64 summoned warder a Mithril Two-Handed Sword would increase his dps by an amount to make it worth it as its 31% haste and fairly cheap to buy. Not sure if i would do it but more of a curiousity.  :D

Keep in mind that it may increase your warders damage due to its haste ( not sure this would work as isnt it a proc?), BUT you would be halfing your warders damage potential as you are forcing your warder to use a  one 2hander vs two 1handers / natural weapons.

I believe starting with the 49 pet they will no longer use a 2hs weapon.  If they don't use it, I am not sure you get the benefit of the haste from the weapon.  It is worn haste and not a proc on that sword BTW.

If you want to give you warder a haste item get a mage to summon you some muzzles. They would have to be cheaper than swords only thing is they are no rent.
