Wow!  I like em!  Are they going to be purchased with points at the camps, quested, or drops?

Tastian

So far they look to be NO DROP drops.  I've only seen a couple so far though so it's possible they'll be quested as well or attained in other ways.

Guild had 2 beastlord spells drop in sewers tonight. Not sure if they got looted or not as I was involved on a different trial at the time. Seems any named has a chance to drop them on Sewer trials.

Umm, help me out a little.  Where are the sewers?

Sewers are instanced dungeons in barundi (spelling ).  You zone into barundi, invis, get into the zone proper ( long zone tube filled with mobs that havent seen invis as far as i can tell ), and then follow the right wall.

You find an npc named gamesh (spelling?) that looks like one of those wierd tribal elvish looking npcs ( like the ones right where the magus is in natimbi ).  Group leader hails him, he offers you "expeditions" which are exactly like ldon dungeons ( ie instanced ).

You make your way to the entrance ( which is marked on the maps from eqtoolbox, or you can follow the blue line on your compass ), remembering to stay invis.

You drop in, and its an instanced dungeon.

NOTES :

Seems to me, you can add people to your instanced dungeon.  As group leader, you see number of people in your group (6) and the fact that if someone drops you can add someone else.

Mobs hit for 1200 and tend to come in 2s or so.  Make sure your tank is BEEFY... ie dont go with a bazaar geared tank.  In fact, these dungeons seem designed for elemental+ geared people, and people with LOTS of AAs.. read 150+

There is no time limit for completing these

There is no place close for your cleric to bind.  The closest place seems to be the wayfarer camp.. in NEDARIA.  Be reminded that if your cleric dies ( and they probably will due to healer agro at least once ), they will have to run all the way back, through zones that require invis to get through.  Make sure your healer has some invis potions in the back, or you have a porter willing to escort your healer back.

You can get really nice items out of these instances... stuff with 100hp/mana, and focus effects as well.  Also saw 30hp / 30 END augment that fits in all slots.

EXP in these dungeons was pretty horrid for the risk, with mobs giving about 1.5-2 percent AA per kill, compared to Elemental exp (earth at 3-4 per kill ). The items would be upgrades to people who were not fully elemental kitted out, but for time people would probably rot.

You progress through these instanced dungeons and an npc flags you at the end for .. something.  Not sure what yet.

Hope that helps

Just to touch on that write-up...

Gamesh gives the instances, but to do the progression you need to hail the High Priest in the next building over.  My group also found that those members that didn't hail him before starting, didn't get a flag.  Not sure how true this is.  Been hearing that you can do them out of order and the Scribe by High Priest will fix them.  Also, on at least one so far, people have not gotten the flag because they died right when the mission was completed.  Kinda scuky, but just make sure if you're nearing the end that everyone's there with you.

Also, the time limit thing is mostly true.  Though there are a few expedtions where you will have a time limit tossed on at the end.

Experience was indeed bad in a couple, but was also very good in others.  I made 7 AA doing the first 3 expeditions.

Some of them are very straightforward, some are not.  Be prepared to spend some time down there, too.  It's not your normal run in, kill fast, run out with 60 minutes to spare, LDoN mission.

The drops I've seen were a priest/caster earring with good stats and 25% magic DD mod, and a haste belt with good stats but only 35% haste I believe.  These were off trash, not named.  Have heard of named mobs dropping spells.

*edit*  Just thought this was funny....on the expedition with the Stonemites, enchanter charmed a lower stonemite and it Fero'd itself.  Gogo BST mobs!
