Anyone tried it?

How did it go?

Where do you recomend?

In a word...

Evil.

It appears that they found a way around slow in GoD.  I encountered many mobs that had dd and DoT type procs.

I got destroyed by a DB mob in the starting zone that hit for 400-500ish slowed which wouldn't have been a problem.  However, when his proc fired 9-10 times (slowed mind you) for 530dmg each time it got really ugly fast.  Now comes the nasty part.  I was sow'd at the time so when I got to 20% I figured I'd run away a small distance and gate out.  Apparently these mobs all have runspeed maxxed or something.  He stayed on my tail until I was dead.  Pretty embarrasing really.

I was able to kill some but I would say it's NOT worth it unless you really want a challange.

p.s.  I did have fun running in one of the instanced zones with a full group later that evening.  I feel that GoD is really meant to be group/small raid experienced.

I soloed some in Qinimi, mobs hit for 400-500, mitigate slow and proc Chaos Claws and Ukun Chains and are generally more PITA than BoT giants but had far less hp and gave far less xp (1-2% per solo kill). If you can solo BoT stuff without breaking a sweat you can solo in Qinimi but it's not really worth it. Oh and mobs rampage a lot, meaning pet will get eaten up if you get two mobs even if you tank both.

Bring a group.

Spent some time soloing in the waters of Natimbi. South of the land there are potamieds that are db or lb, also fish and crab guys that are from green to db. Spent half an hour out here, mobs aren't too hard, adds can happen pretty easy however. My xp seemed decent for me, got 2% most mobs.

After posting this I went back to Natimbi and buffed up and crossed the river.  There was a large turtle  that was dark blue.  (Sorry can't remember the exact name).  It was all I could to get him dead and stay alive.   An add would have killed me.  I got 2AA for the kill and it dropped an illuminated teruptian (sp?) shell, which will be a nice range item for my baby druid.

The downtime would have been horible to recover from that.  I think GoD will be my grouping spot for a while and I'll solo somewhere else.

Silresa

Judging from what you asid, Lorudce, you fought 'a fierce cragwalker,' rather than the usual ones. The fierce is named, and far tougher than his green and light blue counterparts. ;)

As for the rest of GoD.. I agree. This is the first time I have EVER had ot keep Ferocity on myself to stay alive more easily. The resist check for Chaos Claws is 'Chromatic,' so I assume it's either a check against all resists at once, in some way, or random, in that it picks among the five. (Note: There are also some "Prismatic" resist checks showing on Lucy. So whichever this one is, Prismatic is the other, presuming I'm thinking correctly.) ;)

But with Ferocity up I've actually resisted alot of the Chaos Claw effects, and that alone is a huge boon to solo-ability.

All in all though, consensus is: Not really worth it, in my opinion. It's rough.

Chromatic from what ive always been told is basically the average of all your resists and Prismatic is the lowest of your resists.

Ah.... that explains it.  I was in a group fighting restless souls and cragwalkers (thanks for the name) and thought they were easy so I wanted to try soloing.  Just my luck to pick a named to test it out on.

Felidae

In natimbi  I could solo most things by pet clericing.  But first that's not the EQ I enjoy, and second the XP was poor.    The mobs were in sort of a bezerker spirit - vicious offence - greens hitting 450?! - but not very strong defence or HP.

Ukator Iceblood

Went back to my ocean mobs today, died twice. Once was slaughtered by a green before i could get my pet out. I did laugh that I died to a green. Second time it was just adds, adds and more addds that got me.

It's actually the opposite.  Chromatic is the lowest of your five resists and Prismatic is the average.

I've heard Riwwi is ok for soloing.  I didn't spend much time in there and was with a group, but I can say that the mobs did not mitigate slow at the entrance.

Aneya

I spent 3 days in Natimbi. The xp isn't great but I did make off with a Monte Haul.

and a few others.

Most of this was done solo. Once you know how to deal with the mobs soloing here is quite easy.

Nice, I could use that first neck item.  Maybe I'll hang out in Natimbi for a while.

Man0warr

I been soloing in Riwwi ever since i was there day 1 and we got this:

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=68404

dropped off 2 different mobs so i assume its one of the zones random mob drops, like the FT1 neck in Natimbi and the Haste gloves in Qinimbi, which we also got.
