After having the designer post 2 times thast the combine is in and working I still do not trust them.
Even if the combine is in the NPC that tells us how the combine is to be done is missing.
I am just asking do you trust the SoE that our quest is completable as it stands

this is an appropriate forum for the poll, he's asking a question, not directing any particular anger towards any party. i vote yes, we just havent found the npc which will help us -or- the combine has some twist we havent figured out yet.

I think thats in the correct forum here, knowin how much tig works on the combine its more than legit to ask this question here.

I still think the combine might work, but the container we need is probably not ingame yet.

I'm thinkin ya gotta talk to someone or combine doesnt work. Like with BIC quest, it wouldnt let ya combine successfully unless ya talked to person and got flag  :?

I just dont understand why if it IS in game they cant just  add some extra dialogue like, "you must make the totem", "Seek out so and so for assistance". /shrug

my guess would be that when this part is finished you'll be able to see a clear connection to some earlier part of the quest text, and we'll all go "o man we shoulda..." theres a clue somewhere is my belief at any rate, we just havent found it, or havent made the connection yet.

That's it?  Any new stats on it which makes it stand out as 2.0?

Since it should be the best weapon of the expansion i would guess a very good ratio and about 300 hp on it is a sure thing. Around 39/19, 310hp/300mana/end or so (just from what ive seen in MPG/RSS and Anguish).

300hp got to be on the low side.. But I am sure that whatever the stats its gonna be broken ( or is that working as intended? )

You're probably right :)

But at the moment i just dont expect something really good for beastlords as the developers dont have a clue what would be great for this class.

Oh, and if they cant fix the broken 1.5 clicky im sure the 2.0 clicky wont work either. Great work guys, im really impressed.

Yeah... this is why I have permanently quit EQ.  I'm sorry, but when it becomes accepted fact that something will be broken.... that's just a sign that the quality is so horrible that it's not worth it any more.  I spent the entire time after OoW came out sitting there bored out of my mind, playing out of habit.  Then I saw what I was doing, logged out and decided to take a week off.... then it turned into 2 weeks, then a month... well, let's just say I can't think of a single reason to go back.  Broken content, broken game, broken quests... 5 years was WAY too long for me to put up with it as it was.

Just because we cannot figure out a tradeskill combine does not mean that the combine is broken.  It took a while for the Oracle tradeskill quest to be worked and that was with the whole tradeskill population working on it, not just Beastlords.

Tradeskilling has always been like this.  It requires a bit of lateral thinking on our part.  In the Oracle quest people could not figure out how to make enchanted velium bits until someone thought he would try to combine the velium bits with the actual spell scroll.  Perhaps our "clay made malleable with magic" is similar and we have to combine it with an enchant clay spell scroll.

I would try this myself but I cannot continue on to epic 2.0 because I do not have access to the Plane of Air.  I also have not ever complained about not being able to continue because that is just the way progression works.

Bottom line is the developer has stated twice that the combine is working.  Epic 2.0 is not ever going to be easy and only those Beastlords with access to Anguish can legitimately say that this combine is holding them up.

There may be some people who technically could be trying to work on this but aren't.  I have 1.5, for example, but I haven't even tried the combine yet because I haven't done the Jaggedpine and Plane of Air parts and probably won't do them anytime soon (trying to convince my guild to go back to the Plane of Air again is like trying to convince Emeril to stop saying, "BAM!").

Maybe when more people are actually in a position to even try the combine we'll have more success.
