Seeking advice on something similar to Griegs?

Thank to a post I read here a few months back, I've been having a lot of fun solo'ing and duoing with some friends (class doesn't much matter) in Griegs End.  I'm decently equipped for bazaar gear and pretty non-uber in AA's (magelo in profile).  Self-buffed with Virt I'm at around 5750 hp.

Griegs is a decent and fun place for me to solo - I can break the front room from the DSP zone side (heck, I usually blow my pull and end up tanking all 4) with help from Paragon.  I can solo nameds decently enough (yay - Tribute fodder!).  I can take two or 3 at a time.  AA exp is tolerable.  Certainly I get more per kill doing zone out B in PoN, but I can kill more faster in GE so I think it balances out.

I'm curious though - are there any other places I could try to solo similar to GE as far as difficulty and AA exp go?  I'm not elemental and my pet doesn't have snare (nor, probably, will it ever).

Your experience and ideas are very welcome!  Looking for something to do when I just have an hour or two to kill.

Torgiran has faster kills for what seems (to me) to be the same AAXP per kill, so I like it better.  When I duo with low-level friends, we do Grieg's instead so they get the bonus from the higher cons...for some reason the mobs being higher level doesn't "seem" to give any more AAXP, although they probably do.  They just don't die as fast, as I said.

I agree that Veksar should be good...I haven't soloed there yet, though.

Droga, though...you're equipped only slightly better than I am, although I have more AAs...and I think Droga is way more trouble than it's worth solo.  I remember there was a thread recently where some very well equipped and AA'ed beastlords didn't find Droga worth it at all either...mobs have too many hp and they run like hell.  Ideal place to duo with a druid, but soloing just isn't too efficient, in my opinion.

You can try the Restless Soul camp in Natimbi...about 60/40 dkblue/lblue split at 65, but they die pretty fast and respawn quickly, that I believe I could get 60% AAXP/hour soon after hitting 65.  Qinimi will all be dark blue, but might be as inefficient as Droga; they'll hit harder but will die faster, so it could depend on a lot of things.  Now that I have higher dps and some lifetap augments, I'm going to be trying Qinimi again soon...might be worth looking into for you too.

Thanks for the ideas!

Gave Qinimi a go first last night  - just at the zone in.  Wasn't too bad but not enough wanderers there to stay busy and got real nervous about pulling from further in.  I'll have to go back invis'd and try and get the mob layout a bit better understood.  But they do indeed die very fast and didn't hit all that hard, although I did have to heal myself after most fights.

Then went over to Torg mines.  Zoned in from the Dulak side.  Initially I was VERY disappointed, everything was green and LB!   Then decided to invis up and wander over towards that ring event area on the other side of the zone.  Didn't get that far - got to the big cavern room (with the bridge) and discovered nirvana.  A room full of DB mobs - 10 or 12 or 'em - easily single pulled and VERY easily beaten down.  They die fast and rarely hit me - lovely spot.  I'll be adding it to my list of places to dink around in.     Seemed exactly 1% AA per kill, but dang I could kill 'em fast.

Agree on Droga - without a snaring partner that's just way too much effort for me in my experience.  Had forgotten about Veksar, going to give that a try soon.

The thing to do in droga is to kill ph for named, go to another ph and kill it  and come back 20 mins later to see if named popped. It's a nice farming cycle area for gear to sell or tribute. The mobs on the eastern part of the map are lower level so you can single pull the phs and ignore the rest. Hobble is real nice here too.

Guess I should have linked the other Torgiran post in this forum: http://www.beastlords.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1924

The second post is the guide you need.  The area just past the big cavern area is all bloodguards like you were fighting, single pulling is a piece of cake (not that doubles are hard to handle), and you can get some decent items to sell or tribute.

There are also a couple more spots in LoY I sometimes frequent, although I only ever go there when Torgiran is too camped.

First, Nadox. There's 3 places here I've setup shop. First spot, entering from Gunthak go left over the bridge and immediately hang a right moving down the ramp. Here you can camp the luggalds in the room around the corner.

Second spot, again coming from Gunthak, go right as if you were going towards the lift leading to Torgiran. Make a right immediately before you enter the tunnel which leads to this lift. Go through the large hall here into a small tunnel. You'll see another hallway going left in the middle of this tunnel. Go just past it and setup shop inbetween this exiting tunnel and the temple in front of you. Make your camp just outside the agro range of the two trolls guarding the entrance to this tunnel. The temple is where you can see 4 trolls guarding the left and right walls and some more trolls in the center of the room. You will sometimes get multiples here but they are not hard. Some are casters. I found /pet hold to be very useful here. All mobs are dark blue to 65 other than one wandering mob who will pace through the hallway I just mentioned which leads away from where you're camped. There is a very commonly-popped named mob in this temple, Delien Gedasai. Assuming he's not up when you get there and after you've cleared the temple first time around, he has a chance of popping on every spawn within the temple. I've had him pop 4 times in one round. As long as you kill him before the next spawn pops, he could pop there too. His loot is not great (Garish Sash, Gloves of the Fallen Spirit) but he's pretty good xp. There may well be other named's that pop in the temple, I've not seen em though.

Third spot, Hate's Fury zoneline. Just pull away, you will get multiples on the first cycle and they are tougher than Torgiran mobs - hit harder, more hp.

Hate's Fury itself. Tough place to solo in terms of efficiency and a place I always want to hunt more in because nobody is ever there. Really, this is a much better duo/two-box spot - I always group with my wizard or ranger and it's much easier. The mobs here are in their mid-50's, and are similar to the ones in Nadox at the HF zoneline. Mixture of undead and live mobs. Chance of some nice loot - Mantle of Gunthak, Visor of Ambition etc. Again, multiple pulls inevitable but the zoneline is right there if you get in trouble. I think I'm gonna go back there tonight and bring my bard along for a little crowd control.

Dulak - Windscorn boat, all dark blue to 65 - in fact they are also tougher than Torgiran mobs. Nice xp, nice-ish loot, maybe the least camped of all 5 boats.

Hrann

I just wanted to tick up for Droga a little bit.  I prefer that zone to any of the others mentioned, although I'm a little burned out on it.  Soloing around the first large cavern only ever brings singles unless you are doing phs, which drop halfway decent stuff that still sells very well.  I've generally gotten better xp there than in Grieg's, and beside the decent drops from nameds, every mob drops 10-20pp, which is nice as well.

In terms of danger, once you are level 65 with fero (for the resists) and the slow, most of the zone is trivial.  The mobs drop quickly and don't run fast if you save a nuke for the end.  Aggro range is this zone is tiny.

In the spirit of the thread I will add in a place that I have soloed once in a while.  Chardok B is pretty good, and at the entrance you can get a couple of pretty nice earrnigs.  In addition, if you do this zone and Droga (and deep in Nurga there's actually a decent place for 65s) you can slowly work on the Chardok faction quest.

Nimbin

I have to agree that Droga is very nice indeed.  At the Inner Sanctum area, the higher level mobs, i get 2-4% per kill AA most of the time solo.  Like mentioned above saving nukes until mobs start to wander off, not run, is helpful.

There are areas where you can safely pull the higher level mobs single and if you know how to pet pull, you can easily hit any of the higher nameds like King, Jailor, Ice Master, etc and get them single as well.  The drops are decent sellers in bazaar along with the nice plat drops.

You can also complete many of the free the slave quests or sell the pieces in bazaar.  I have outfitted much of my family guild in these items.  I have mostly non-raid type equipment ( http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=670481 ) and have racked up tons of AA's here along while grouping and duoing with any other class.  Mostly been with a paly or enchanter.  Get your chanter friend to charm a rogue pet (add haste) and watch the exp fly by!
