Does anyone know of a good guide to droga ? I dont mean a map with the drops, more of a what to look out for, what spells work,  the quick way to exit , any dangers/pitfalls etc.

Also, i have seen a few people list Griegs as a good place to solo at 65. How is it you break into this first room ? I always get 3 coming when I try and pull it.

Don't.  Just invis past it.  From there on it's a cakewalk - literally - just go corner to corner and you shouldn't get adds.  Nameds come up randomly and can look like anything, just be sure and read the name before attacking, because they are a bit tougher and you should be ready for them.

I thought Droga was a fun place to figure out on my own as long as you have a good map.  One thing to remember:  WATCH OUT FOR THE PITS.  There is one marked near the center of the map, and there is one at the entrance so you can't go back out that way. The eqtools in-game map shows the named spawn locations; just go through them one at a time; by the time you get the named, you'll be ready to move on and work out how to do the next one.  I don't know why they couldn't have just made some of the gear a little better and no-drop, that would have made it more fun for me than getting stuff almost as good as what I have that's only good for selling.  There's some very good stuff on the West side of the map, but you need a group for most of that.

Yup GE is cleverly disguised by a zone in that is unbreakable solo. Once you get in its smooth going.

Not true, actually.  I often duo there with a wizard guildmate of mine, and one night her invis broke at the entrance and she didn't notice.  She only pulled 2 by proximity, and I had luckily made and suspended my pet so I was able to bring it out and kill them.  At that point we just decided to fight out way in directly and had no problems.

However, there are several double-pulls in the entrance area...I have several different places to start: the first stairway past the largest room, the corner to the left of the room with the altar, and...hard to describe, a room with 3 mobs that is in an area with very long thin rooms.  Starting at the gate works too, it's a safe landmark.

I dont know much about Droga because they tend to run on close to death .. GE does not ..

I go to the ZI from scarlet desert and sit there hours at a time .. between 4 rooms you can stay very busy ..

First room has a corner roamer and a rug that trips a mob and another stable .. All single ..

Go left and then fast left agian . You will fins a room with 4 .. Take the one on the right near the bead and pull it back to the ZI .. RARE to get 2 but very handle able if you do .. Just slow both and dot both with pet on one and you on the other they go down and pet  is ussually done before me LOL ..

Then same room look left near the bed single that one . pull back to same spot ..

Then look right agianst the wal one there .. Same pull then look left along the wall in the corner . get that one ..

By the time you get those done you can either work on other rooms or just go back to ZI and wait for repops .. All up to you .. I do the first and left rooms a lot only so I can watch TV and EXP LOL .. Good  place .. Fair loot and .. Ok thats about it. hehe .

Yep I did the same thing when I hunted there, just try and get a tlc/port to Twilight Sea, zone into SD then onto GE. Much easier from that side and less traffic (not that there was too much at the DSP side anyway).

But you said it youself, you where a duo. Its much easier to break as a duo. What I meant though is that people are often scared away from GE because they have trouble with the first room on the DSP side. Thus they fail to realize how good a zone it is.

No, you don't understand...even if the double was easier to kill as a duo it was still only a 2-pull, which most 65 beastlords should be able to take on solo in GE.  Thus it's not an unbreakable solo entrance if you get a double-pull, which wasn't dependent on my having someone with me, it just turned out that way.

Usually when I am leaving Griegs I will kell the entrance mobs on my way out and I always get 2, rarely 3.

I can kill 3 at one time no problem.  When Paragon, Protective Spirit and Bestial Fury are up, I can kill 4 but both myself and my pet were drained every time this happened.

A little story about how good Griegs exp is.  Last night I went to Griegs.  Got into position, and half buffed my pet  then the doorbell rang.  Went and answered it and came back to fight.  I normally time my exp to see how my exp/hour changes as I get more AA.

Anyway..... I am fighting and they are taking a long time to kill.  1m 30sec + as oppposed to the normal minute.  I was thinking in the mainenance patch that they really upped the hitpoints.  After 25 minutes I had gotten exactly 20% exp.  Not to bad.

I forgot to put on Arag's and Rellic.  Dammit. Hehehe.  Needless to say things really sped up after that.

I still like Torgiran better because of the chance of getting the FT1 neck piece (which I've gotten twice now) and the fact that the nameds and the hoarders that spawn give a nice bonus to exp even though they're not much harder to kill.  However, the trash loot in GE is much nicer...I can easily make more in plat on an average night.  The named loot in GE isn't so hot though in general (if you ask me).

Reason I bring up the first room is that I often tell people GE is great xp but after they get their asses handed to em on the first room they don't beleive me.  For people that know the zone, GE is easy but when its your first time it can be quite daunting. I often have to go there in person to show them where to go before they beleive me that GE is awesome xp.

Yes the SD side is much easier to break in but its also harder to reach if you don't have a port.

Torgiran is not bad but I stoped going when it started to get camped regularly. That area can not support much more than 2 groups.

I agree; I pretty much always skip the first room except the first time I was there (with a group of 6) and the time I mentioned, where we accidentally pulled the first room.

On Kane Bayle Torgiran is almost never occupied.  It's amazing how often I can go there and have the entire zone to myself.  (Although GE is the same way, actually.)  Sometimes there'll be a necro kiting in the bridge area, and I have seen a two-beastlord group in that area a few times also, but that's about it for recurring people.  Once there was a group handing in keys to the resistance slaves in order to spawn the named in the mines, and once a wizard logged in right in front of the Defender room as I was setting up, but he let me have the camp since I was there first.

Being on a sparsely populated server like KB has its advantages and disadvantages; easier to find open solo spots but tough to find groups when you want them...guilds seem to like to stick together for LDoNs.  I have run into very very few truly bad pickup LDoN groups / complete idiots though...probably several reasons for that, but I digress. :)

Bah, I say!

I'm an AA gimp with bazaar gear and I usually just tank'em all in the first room - they're not that tough.   :)   With luck, I might only get 2 on my initial pull, but inevitably I'll get too close and get 1 or 2 more (if trap is up) every time.
Seems like if I make sure regen is on me and Poochie and have Paragon ready we'll be just fine.  Running through the discs don't hurt either.

Haven't died in that first room since I turned 65 at any rate.   (there, now I cursed myself for next time!)
