I spent about 6 hours with some people yesterday and we attempted a expedition.  Nobody in the group really knew what the deal was, the best answer we got was that it was sorta like LDON.  As we progressed one member said ok we've cleared 1/4 of the map and I said "oh that's the goal to clear the zone?" but that wasn't the goal and nobody really knew what the goal was.  We didn't finish, it got late and we wiped and quit the expedition.  Some people in our group thought we were supposed to kill some named guy and that would complete the expedition but we wiped as we were making our final approach to that mob, so we couldn't test that theory.  I am fairly sure we wouldn't have gotten "points" if we completed the mission due to the fact that I haven't seen any god merchants nor any discussion of god points.  Why did we spend 6 hours attempting to do this?  I am not sure I want to go do another when I can do 6 Ldon missions in the same amount of time (in theory).  I assume the named dude that we didn't get to would have had some real nice drops and is that the goal to get those drops? or were we supposed to be rewarded with a chance to get a god spell?  The group was really friendly and every member of the group really did a awesome job, we made a judgement call and made the wrong call so we wiped but nobody made any of those stupid ldon mistakes you see all the time.  If I try to do GoD again I want to go with those same people, but I am not sure GoD is worth the hassle and time when I still need stuff from LDON.

Your first problem is that you are comparing it to LDoN. The only thing that is similar is that they are instanced dungeons. The GoD trials all have objectives to complete and you should do some research on them.

This is a good place to start learning. The Vxed trial requires you kill 100 mobs then a named will spawn you hail to get a flag. Not sure which you were in so hard to tell what your goal was.

Kaspi is correct. GoD expeditions are about progressing through GoD's end game much like PoP has trials and raids in order to progress to EP and eventually Time.

In order to get into the Kod'Taz zone you need the Vxed and Tipt expedition as well as either the 4 sewers or the Smith Rondo raid. Its actually a bit complicated, Kaspi's link is very helpful, and progess in Kod'Taz has been simplified since GoD was launched. Overall the expeditions have been made easier since I went through them but they're still not easy for a non - EP/Time geared groups.

The named in these expeditions can drop very nice loot as well as GoD spells.

Sewer 1 is a lot harder than 2 and 3 btw.

Vxed is 50 mobs now. At least I've read that on some forums and named popped for me at that count (give or take a few) when I attempted it since last patch.

And although VXed spawn limit for hailing npc has been lowered to 50ish (bout time)..it seems to me Tipt has been made more difficult. Mobs seems to hit harder and resist more.  I have VXed and am currently trying to slug through Tipt. I am 0-8 so far

Biggest problem in tipt is that wars cant go defensive on the last named. I think that was changed to suit paladins, but in turn it nerfs wars on this (and some other, like diabolic destroyer) mobs. So the best setup is now 2 rangers and some tank, doesnt matter what class. Rangers ws-tank the named to death.

Tipt is just a bitch now, there had to be a stealth nerf on it. Mobs are hitting full damage almost all of the time now which is just slicing through even fully time geared tanks. It is almost rediculous.

The trash mobs did seem to hit a bit harder than before, 100-200 more than usual.. but not positive on that as I didn't actually parse it before.

I've only done it once since the patch, but I remember our SK tank who is fully EP geared was getting raped pretty bad by them. Even chaining fast heals by the cleric, he still hit 20% or lower often and finally bit the dust.

Pallys would manage much better there and warriors too I imagine.. that stun is godly on the mobs it's useable on there.

I'm glad they changed the boss though at least. He was nearly impossible for EP Knights to tank and live through before the patch, even with two healers in group.

This isn't just a tipt tip but generally, find yourself a druid to cast Ro's Illumination and Hand of Ro on every single mob. The combination atk debuff will significantly reduce the max hits on mob melee. The druid generally could get aggro from the massive debuffs, but since I slow on pull and incapacitate as well, not a problem.

And if you ever kill a named and the Taleosian Geomancy Stone Yiktu drops, for the love of god, give it to your cleric first for Holy Light. It's the upgrade to Supernal Light and will radically change your healers potential (assuming all healing AA) - the same way Sylvan Infusion did for druids.
