Title: CoM at 51,
Post by: Zeezrum on September 17, 2004, 06:52:51 AM
too many light blues, from ent to temple, although 3 kills is getting me about 1%, they arent easy, hitting at as much as 150.

Dblues are too tough, taking me, with HoV and 4200 HPs to 1k hp after healing my pet. hitting as hard as 180.

they must have revamped this zone,

Loot is the same as Nurga. XP is better.

CoM mobs have very low hp, and they don't run.  Think about it :).

ive been leveling there since 48 till 52.
Mob werent that difficult but yes at 51 lots of Lb. I was mainly killling on the temple side because i hate the caster on the stable side grrrr.

Now im stuck at 52 without any pleasant place to solo. I tried CoM farther in but same thing too much LB. I tried Nurga but not really a big fan. Always scared of geting multiple add since they are so close to each other and stupid caster in there to hehehe.

I guess ill probably go back to Nurga just for the xp bonus or try some old world zone or maybe fungus groove dont know.

Try the first boat. Think you should be able to handle it.

You don't have to have one of the boats in Dulak to make exp. When you  zone in run staight back to a fenced wall (invis). You can pull to that spot. Myself I maked a right in front of the little fence. Then another right in to the alley. If you watch for a few minutes you will see some good pull spots. I station myself across from the bar and in front of the building. I pull the ones on the outside and then work on the mobs in the buildings. I make 55 doing this and decent loot.

Is City of Mist still a "hotspot" zone?

How can a 50-55 group do anything in grieg's? 60+ groups still have trouble. I wouldnt go there untill at least that.

A full group won't have much trouble, provided they stick to the low level mobs near zone in, and invis through the first room.  I can think of better zones for a group that level, but that's another story :).

I have been in a few GE groups over the past few days and over all things have gone fairly well. The best group that I was in ranged from lvls 60-47. Having a chanter in the group makes single pulls much easier, especially in the first room.

The only time that we had problems was that sometimes a mob would pass by a door, and aggro mobs that had re-poped in that room. Just make sure that you keep an eye on re-spawn times, rotate accordingly and you should be fine.

The great group I was in consisted of a lvl 60 shammy, a 55 and a 57 druid, a 47 cleric and a 57 chanter along with my scaly hide =)

Also, I had the pleasure of seeing myself morphed into a female halfling while fighting one of the named mobs past the gate. I kept on hearing a song go through my head; "I feel pretty, oh so pretty." My guildmates were probably rolling on the floor when that happened. I know I was.

Actually the funny thing is everyone sees the named and what you morph into differently. Was in a group the other day and the named looked like a big dog. Started making dog jokes (was tired) and everyone was like WTH are you talking about. Looked at my bot's screen and the named looked like an alligator.

I still visit COM at lvl 56.  Most are light blue to green and still give exp.  Uber plat zone as I usually make 400-1000pp in an hour or two hunting named mobs.  I still get great exp at 56 with this being a HOT zone.
