Lazy or curious Pet ... ?

Well yesterday we were doing emperor of ssra, and i noticed something strange, when i breaked combat to mgb paragon my pet stopped attacking and followed me ! (i read through my log and i didn't ordered anything :P)
it happened again in the fight 2 or 3 time when i stopped fighting to move/buff someone...
I read in coprolith post that a pet that do net get aggro stop attacking in 10 min, how is it possible ? if you beat something you got aggro no ? (especially with the pet proc (S.o.Rel which add + aggro)

Let me clarify that statement. Its not about the pet agro'ing the mob, its about the mob agro'ing the pet. If the mob doesn't do any damage to the pet, the pet will stop attacking 10 minutes after the /pet attack command.

So typicaly in a very long fight like emperor all pet should stop attack after 10 min since they bite him in the back and the mob is too busy gangbangig the MA ? (just to be sure i understood  :P )

Yes, unless they get hit by AE's of course.
