Can someone explain to me how I can make my cleric's complete heal hotkey, heal my beastlord pet.  For some reason I can't figure out what to put in for targeting.  For example with say my mage pet I put /target jobober but if I put in Ssartin's Warder it doesn't seem to target the warder.  I've tried putting single and double quotes around it but just can't seem to figure it out.  Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you are using the right symbol.  Meaning "/target Tastian`s" not "/target "Tastian's".  Using the flying comma next to the 1 key across the top of the keyboard.  That's how I recall having it work for people.  I don't actually hot keys though, so I'm not positive, but worth checking.

I'll try that tonight.  Thanks for the idea.  Hadn't thought of that one.

nps, Like I said though I don't use hot keys.  However, I did look over my logs to check and it does list as "Tastian`s warder" so seems reasonable hehe.

Mindlet

I know it doesn't answer the question but you can press the function key that targets your bst twice to get the pet on target.

I'm not home, but I think you can do this:

/target '

That should target the pet, IIRC.  But, like I said, I'm  at work, lol.

Just tested it, that didn't work.

/target Tastian`s did though.  /target Tastian`  with the ` next to the one on the number pad works.  Hope it helps, have fun.

Took about a month off from EQ.  Finally tested this recently and it indeed works well.  Thanks for the help.  Makes things a little easier when 3 boxing.

I have found that if you just type a partial name, you will end up with the warder.  This only seems to happen with Beastlords though.  For example if I wanted to heal my pet from a Cleric, I would type /tar skr and my warder would be in the target window.  However, if I wanted to target myself to heal I would type /tar skrunch.  Seems to work just fine for me that way.

Think /pet target only works if you have a pet...

Yeah /pet target targets your pet hehe.
