Well, before all the recent changes, sow used to be a progressive speed increase.

When my druid got sow at 14 it as 30% speed.  When she reached level 50, it progressively increased to 50% speed. This was back in 00'.

Now with my beast, Sow is just slightly faster then Run 3.

For which is the best SoW out there, I would have to say the shaman "Billy" is the best.  It offers +attack along with run speed.

The druid "Flight of the Eagle" group SoE, or a rangers "Spirit of the Eagle" offers more utility.  It has levitation, run speed, Ultravision, See Invisible.

Spirit of Eagle is "best", when looking at run speed, as it's 60% increase max vs 55% increase for Bih'li/SoW, along with see invis, lev and infravision.  Bih'li has 15atk on it though, which might be more desired.
