Title: Recovering data from an old raid array
Post by: Khauruk on April 10, 2008, 04:12:11 AM
Howdy,

A while back my old mobo died a slow death, starting with the onboard raid controller.  I believe I have never messed with the drives that were on the RAID 0 array, and would still love to recover the data.  (Had the OS etc, on another drive iirc).

Are there any utilities that could piece the drives back together?  I don't believe so, but thought it was worth asking.

Also possible would be purchasing a PCI controller card.  The controller was an HPT374 - are there any brands outside of Highpoint that use HPT controllers on their cards?  I've seen one person comment on newegg that they were able to recover an old array doing this - does anybody here have any experience?

Thanks.
