LDON Choices

Hiya guys and wanted your input on this.

If a person had limited time and had to chose the best area to do LDON so they could get the best choice for themselves. What would be the best. Thanks

NRO missions all the way...

Do NRO missions until you can get your Diamond Prism of Companionship.  I can't wait to get mine...

That will be the most bang for your buck regardless of what you do.  Our pets are so essential to our playstyle whether it be in groups, raids or just solo, that such an upgrade to your pet should be considered of the utmost importance.  

Unfortunately no amount of platinum will garner you such an item.  The only thing that will suffice is time... precious time.

This may well depend on the server, and your playing time.
On Innoruuk, Butcherblock is the most popular. The chances of getting a group at the other camps is not as good.
My preference would be Ruj at the EC camp. This has decent beastlord equipment for not that many points.

Every camp has something to offer and you WILL want.  Do any that you can find group in.

DPoC is only available in Tak (NRo).

While the pet aug from nro is great, its not for everyone really. It's great for soloing, pretty useless for raids, and somewhere in the middle for ldon and groups. And as someone above said, it's hard to get NRO adventures while butcherblock adventures are pretty easy to get.

If you don't have plat and long for PoT ornate armor, the 760 point armor in butcherblock is darn close.

The best hth weapons are in Everfrost, EF, and East Commonlands, EC.

Good augs are all over the place.

It's great for soloing, pretty useless for raids, and somewhere in the middle for ldon and groups.

Comeing from a full time ep bst i love the regen on the Dpoc the differant color of my pet rocked and i wish they didnt change it. As for what the orginal posters question its a little too open of a topic. At first i wanted the pet aug then some armor only to be replaced a few weeks later weapons i already had the only thing that keeps me interested now are the hp aug's. So it all depends on what you are looking for. Unguilded then maybe the armor apeals more to what your looking for. Thinking your gonna get a nice upgrade in the neartime future then maybe some augs to add a boost.

Well it depends on how much you want.  You have a little to get an most camps.

tak - DPoC is the obvious first choice, 760 pts you need, its also where you get the lvl 64 calliav spell
ruj - i think the big thing here is the slaves hidden orb (1150 pts) preferred by most pre-time type bsts, it can be augmented to be truly formidable, there is also a AoBattle slot 7 aug for 1450.. very nice
mmc - this is a popular place by many other classes, for bst your main objective would be the regen3 or vengance4 slot7 items, or the vampires kiss aug... all those are 1150pts or more each
mir - i can't find a lot there to pursue imo, the least desirable camp... you can find a pretty good earring, and some decent melee procs, but over all its not so super duper
sro - this is the place to get the best armor (all of our 1492pt armor is here) as well as a slot7 ft2 and the 20hp/20mana slot7 aug... this is IMO by far the best place to be.

My plan is to get 760 in tak, then sink all of the rest in guk as quick as possible.  I will have sro maxed for sure, the rest will come in time.

Be sure to go to the LDoN Merchant Sorting Script and do your own research, its up to you to decide what is best.

Overall, not a bad weapon.  It can be aug'd to be better than the WLK, as an example add:

Pristine Emerald of Harm (TAK 1150)
Polished Ore of Power (GUK 663)
Glowing Crystal of Endowments (RUJ 1150)

And you have

Trapped Specimen's Pitchatka (AUGMENTED)
16 damage
20 delay
Str: 8, Dex: 8, Cha:5, HP:60, Mana:55, MR:8, FR:8, CR:8,
Effect:IcicleClaw

Of course, after you unlocked all those points, you could have just bought the SHO too.
