Hey just wanted to give anyone else that wondered a heads up. The Creeping silk strands actually do drop from the Bile of Bile's.

In fact after I got mine the next one dropped one too (of course) and the cleric that was nearby was pleased to take it off the rotting corpse.

So if your in a similar situation, dont give up hope  :D
