Wow!....I hope the final item will be like he others that other races can use them.  What faction are the Iksar BL on anyways?

Kherryn

Whoa, now that was unexpected.  Always wanted them to finish work on the Cabilis class quests, never thought they'd add one for the beastlord.  Now I'm wondering what the end pieces are.

Dumpty - based on your troll Bst, are they continuing the armor quests or is this a new line of questing?

Well the existance of a quest had not been confirmed yet, but if you look at link above an SOE dev said they added one for bst, so yeah it willbe all new quest, not that noobie armor one.

As per reward and level speculation, it should be a low-mid level reward good through 50 or so until you get epic. The monk one looks like this, with basically a lesser form of their epic's effect.

I checked on Test before this patrch was pushed to live.  No new NPCs in the necro of beastlord areas, and all NPCs gave their old responses.

So I assume that this is an extension of the partial armor available to all beastlords at the release of the class with Luclin, and for necros an extension of the skullcap quest, and not a new set of newbie armor like was added in just before PoP for most classes/races.

The necro skullcap might parallel the monk/SK/shaman quests as a substitute epic - but it isn't obvious where the beastlord quest might go.

The Kittenpeeler

Well, if the Iksar necro "epic" really follows the line, then we can look forward to seeing Iksar Necromancers wearing duck hats!

It'll be very hard, IMO, to find an extra npc for the necro skullcap quest.  That quest was near it's 7th piece or 8th piece, so any extra NPCs will not likely be near the trainers, but elsewhere in the game awaiting you to find them.

I'd go so far to say that the Iksar quests seem to be the "Iksar epic", being that their abilities seem modeled from the first epic.  Except no particle effects.

Shadowknight final item: Greenmist, looks to be a lesser form of the SK epic since it has a similar proc, and was also the first real bane weapon in the game at the time, I believe.

Shaman final item: Skyiron Cudgel of the Ancients, Range-slot useable, and mini-avatar clicky.

So far I think the shaman one beats the others, due to it being range slot.  Considering they seem to be "epic-like" in design, I would think the warrior and necro ones would have abilities similar to their epic (hate proc and DoT, respectively).  The beastlord one, though, is beyond my consideration because I have completely no idea what to think.  Maybe a mini-Savagery?  No idea.

Yes, I have done the 8th iksar necro skullcap quest, so I know what NPCs are involved and where they are :).  I'd expect a different response from the last NPC (by the LOIO zone in Cabilis), but I am not able to test that on Test (haha).

The beastlord quests are very different from monk/shaman/necro/warrior, all of which are progressive 'weapon' quests (necro one isn't a weapon, but it follow that structure).

The point of checking for new NPCs in the guild areas is to verify if they have added newbie armor type quests or not.

I checked on Test again today.  There is a new NPC near the GM called Elder Patriarch Ixthal, who asks for a cracked femur, a creeper cabbage, a lichenclover, and your "Claw of the Cub".  Unfortunately you don't start with the Claw of the Cub, so this is a bit hard to complete :).

Looks like a progressive weapon quest.  Contrary to what SoE have told us, it isn't on live servers yet, and isn't even on Test (as of right now).

I'm looking forward to cracking it, and starting to collect bone chips already.

Orkotan

I'm with you on collecting bone chips...also the problem with starting the iksar quests is that you need the newbie note to get the first weapon.  There is a quest to get a newbie note:

I've never done it but is seems time consuming trying to get that hammer to proc.  I've heard the best way is to duel someone to collect the dust.  I guess it's time to wipe out Kurn's a few times and get that faction up.

Grakshi

maybe it is the claw that you get from the armor quests that he wants?

well, unfortunately it may not be live yet, but at least theres some info of it truly existing on test.  the warrior one has been moved live though at least partially as there is an npc and new quest for the next step in pikes i been working on.
