I have been reading on the forum about where to fight when your 65...Plane of Hate came up...I know this is no 00ber place now but is it really soloable? My main is a 56 wizard (boooo yes i know) but my roommate has a 65 BL with PoP gear (non elem) and around 55 AA's...I read that you can get a 60% aaxp in an hour there...I'm assumeing with Armor collection it would be a bit more...To get to my question I guess...how easy is it to solo there? My plan is to just park my wizard in there and let the BL fight...wizard leaches xp while i get my roommate some AA xp...I'm a pretty experienced EQ player...(old main was a 65 shaman) I just remember this zone (pre kunark) when IF you lived to the camp you were pretty lucky...and when pulling it was easy to get 3-4 mobs and wipe out a party of 4 groups or so...just don't want to get him killed in a zone i will have trouble getting his body back...sorry for the long post...

Hate was revamped awhile back.  You can now port up there with no worries of getting any aggro at port in (provided there are no other people up there fighting at the zone in).  You would have no trouble at all there with a 65 BST with that many AA.  I solo'd quite a bit of level 62 there with crap gear and it wasn't that rough.  Go check it out.  It's a great zone with the revamp.

I've been up to PoH a few times in the last couple of months. The xp is pretty good, about the same as you would find in LoY in my estimation. To me it was more like an AA per 3 hours two-boxing with my wizard but I wasn't exactly pushing it (no external buffs, fighting around zone-in).

Tier 1 mobs are quite trivial but the difficulty definitely ramps up in tier 2 and you may have downtime or have to pet-cleric a little.

Definitely worth a visit, the loot isn't bad, and don't forget to start your Marsinger Gem quests while you're up there for both toons. The end result item for the beastlord isn't that great but for the wizard Gem 3 is very nice.

Funny you ask this now.  I just tried it for the first time last night.  Like mentioned, there is no agro at the zone in and the agro range over all is probably the smallest ever.  You have to grab em by the nutz before they attack you.

Anyway.  The mobs.
Some are light blue.  They give 1% AA
The dark blue ones around the entrance give 1.5 to 2% aa per kill.  They don't have alot of hit points either BUT they hit pretty hard. 289 I think was the max hit but since they are light blue and almost light blue they very seldom hit.  I tanked them without ever getting below 75% life.  Even if they seem to close together you can still pull them single.

The Dracoliches (forget the real name, bone dragons) seem to be only slowable if you are in melee range.  Could not slow a Spite Golem just like in old Hate. So after the first one I left them alone.

Ended up dying with a three pull cause of pathing.

Overall.......nice change of pace but the kill rate is not up there with griegs and the exp per mob is similar.

Now mind you this is only near the entrance.  There is mobs farther in that reportedly (by someone on this board) give 5% AA

There are 4 tiers of mobs in hate.  With a 65 2box druid, and 56ish necro and ranger friends, it was easy to keep down a camp that had 3 tier 2 nameds and a tier 3 named.  However, I hate dispell more than ever.  CRs are also not much fun that far in.

Best I have soloed is a tier 4 cleric, would NOT recommend this to anyone who is sane though :P  Pretty simple with my gear and AA to solo the tier2 stuff.  Some of it is tough, but with single pulls it is pretty simple.  With snare and added dps / evac from wiz i think tier2 would be doable based on your description of the beast.  unless he got innate cha or something :P

Also, this site I found is simply amazing.
