I was wanting to know if a L 65 BST could go to Umbral Planes and solo for the Bracers of and or the elysian armor ..

I wantied to get some armor for my Druid Bazaar mule as I quit playing him when the BST class came out . He since has been stripped and bazaared out o falmost everything  ..
Was thinking on parking him in the valley and then going there with my BST to kill the Elysians for the armor .

Some tips and pointers on this would rock..

Thanks

Elysians are pretty easy with a 65 BST.  I do it quite often for my 2boxed Druid (he has every piece but the tunic) self buffed (no C3, No Virtue, just self buffs + Skin like nature since he's only 55).  Just becareful on the pulls, as the mobs there are pretty social, and everything but the elysians are runners.

As far as the named, I'm not sure.  I know I saw the big camel (zelinthank or something) single grouped, but I don't know about solo.  Luclin mobs just have too many HP to make most big things soloable.

I did it when I wanted to get some skulls for the faction quest relating to the Talisman of Vah Kerrath.  Turned out I didn't need the skulls, but I did get a full suit of Elysian out of it.

I think I was probably 65 with relatively low AAs at the time.  Tanking one solo was easy, tanking two and you could use a couple of heals.  You could aggro kite if you wanted, I expect.

The normal camp spot is the SE corner of the zone; there is a short safe valley in that area. Just out of the valley is a ruined building where they spawn.  Pulls from the building are 50/50 ones and twos.  If you want singles, pull the wanderers from the surrounding area.

I actually prefer to setup camp a little north of the valley, just past the small clearing by the house.  More roamers to pull from, higher visibility, but also more likely to get adds.

I would say if it's your first time, stay in the SE corner for safety.

Is this stuff good for a level 50 druid?  The stats seem weak, but I don't know.  Isn't there bazaarable stuff that is waaaay better?  I ask because I just recently started a druid alt, and he is pretty much twinked to the bageezus.

Tatter

Actually the stuff is not half bad .. It is not as good as a ton of money can buy in the bazaar . But it is good for a druid of mid level for sure . And it looks cool .

Plus it is free ! . hehe .

I am just doing it to outfit my Druid so he dont sit around the bazaar naked with an epic in his hand LOL .

Sounds cool, I might have a run at it myself when I get there.

At 60 I could take out the elysians with little work.  Sometimes I would need a heal, most times I would go thru a fight and a half before I would need a 3k druid heal.  Of course, I was sitting at just under 100hp/tick regen, so that made up for a lot of damage, but needless to say, if a level 60 can do it with 50% slow, a level 65 with 65% should be a joke.

The elders are a bit mean, but if you buff your resists and use fero, only thier dots will land on you, making them pretty easy too.

I have hunted here for a long time. Helped outfit 3 druids with full sets.

The spot to camp is in "safe valley" like was mentioned above.  For me, I never bothered with the ones in the shack. I always pulled the roamers.

Pulling was real easy one you learned the technique.  If your brave enough with the druid, depending on its level, you can use the druid to pull.  However I just used my beast to pull.

We would make camp in the valley. I would make pet, buff him up, and then suspend minion him.  Cast invisibility on myself and go out to pull.  With invisibility on, the trash mobs "non elysian" do not see through invis. So you can walk around the area w/o worry of getting attacked.  The Elysians are undead and can see thru your invis. So when you see one, run near it and it will agro "proximity" and come running after you. The Elysians are not "social" with the other trash mobs, except other elysians.  You have to be quick though, if the elysian hits you, your invis will drop and then you might get attacked by other trash mobs.  They are pretty slow, so you can get back to camp and unsuspend pet before they get to you.  They do not hit that hard. 199 is their max hit. The thing about these, just like most Luclin mobs, have alot of hp. A normal Elysian Remain has 20k hp.  So have your druid help kill by dotting.  This is definately not a place to exp. Exp really sucked the times I was there.
