Does it help our pets to equip the new mage weapons that do added backstab damage?

I know with the new aa, and if your good at positioning your pet, you can always get it at the mobs back, but do the weapons help with the damage our pets do?

I could be wrong, but as our pets are warriors, even if pets did benefit from it, wouldn't do ours any good.  Necro rogue and/or mage water pets would, but no others would logically be affected

Spiritclaw is correct, our warders are warriors. The only benefits they gain are the added hp and the damage from the weapon procs.
