Why does this spell cost a peri, when the spells that were actually used that cost components do not any longer?
(So does Avatar, but I am not a shaman)
Seems pretty silly for this to be a 6 minute duration for a peri, does anyone use this?
It it lasted a couple of hours sure, but 6 minutes??

Welcome to the boards!

I never used Savagery. I love Ferocity though (no component). :)

I used savagery I'd say ~80% of the time from level 60-65 and even kept up on multiple people in groups depending on the situation.  I know other beastlords that use to.  Depending on where you fight it can be a huge help and well worth the dots.

I never even bought the spell. It is rediculous to cast a spell that costs that much with that short of a duration.

Bah. I was ecstatic when I finally acquired my copy of Savagery just after PoP's release. We Savageried three rogues at once uphill both ways in the snow and we LIKED it that way!

This of course back when there were only five beastlords on the server that were that high of a level. The rest were just filthy twinks born of the novelty of the class. /wax nostalgic Anyway, you can't compare Savagery to Ferocity because Savagery was designed long before Ferocity was. Ferocity was an upgrade, and therefore the removal of the component. Much akin to Ferine Avatar.

Oh, the "good" old times, i burned through 3 or 4 stacks of dots a raid using both Savagery and Ferocity, both were using dots back then. Once they removed the dot from Ferocity in ever used Savagery again and just burned mana instead of dots.
