Playing a 29 bst as primary.

....building a second box.  What would be the best alt character (or toon for 2nd box) for me to play?  I was thinking along the lines of a druid or cleric.  I would like to hear what you veterans think.

You have to be pretty young to expect instant responses.

There are quite a few threads about this, and they all say the same as what you suggest.  Personally, I think druid is better than cleric (I have both), but the difference is very small.  At your level, you could afford to try both - but be aware that most classes change a lot through their fifties, and that is true of both clerics and druids.

Several other combinations work well with a beastlord for good, plain fun - both necro and mage work, for instance.

Yeah, lots of threads really. Have a Druid and it works well. Even in a day when you can get around the EQ fairly fast it is nice to be able to port on the fly - especially if you tend to solo. Anyway, for duo Cleric, Druid, (instert Int caster) usually work well. Only problem with the Bst/Druid combo IMO is if you ever think about going with a trio. A cleric might be better in that situation.

Thanks guys for the replies.  After talking with a few other people via a few other boards, my choices have come down to Necro or Cleric.  I think I am going to go the cleric route.  After all, in the end...I guess I should start an alt character that is best fit to aid my main.
