I am about to finally try the final 1.5 boss, i am from a small guild and just came back to EQ from 2 year hiatus from WoW because RL friends that still played here(Tribunal server)  Do you think it is possible with me(75beast) 12k buffed, 73 cleric 10k mana, 73 pally 13k buffed, 70 druid, 70 chanter, 70 bard, 70 necro, 71 ranger and 71 mage if we can single the DDA to the ZL?  Or should i try recruiting a few more in PoK?

easy, if your bard gets him single to the ZL.

Is he slowable by beast?  can he be snared?
I think im going to attempt this saturday.  If we fail, from what i understand i can get another cloak real easily.

Finally got around to attempting DDA this weekend.  Did it with 4 people(all 75-- beast, beast, monk, cleric), other beast(tank)  and monk split him solo to the zone and we wasted him.  Thanks Grelin and Brice!!!
