Title: Another first for me
Post by: Gunzak on May 21, 2007, 09:29:39 AM
I went to WoS to solo murks and they were camped so I began killing ferans, bazu and chimera.  I saw Bazu Destroyer and Chimera Seether up and figured what the hell I'll try and solo em.  Well I was able to solo both.  They were both yellow cons and great experience.  I got a Greater Muramite Rune, Bloodstone of the Dance and a leather cap.  Chimera Seether was a total joke to kill but Bazu Destroyer enraged at low health and almost killed me but I was able to burn him down fast enough that he turned to run and i killed him.  I have soloed MPG mobs before and NC named but I had never tried WoS named and tonight i killed two of em.

Incase your curious the murks are all DB at 70, 8% aa per kill, the ferans, chimera and bazu are all LB, 4% aa per kill, and the named were both yellow cons.  I didn't see how much experience they gave but I would suspect it was around 10%.  WoS is a great hot zone for Beastlords.

Strange that the Bazu Destoyer enraged on you.  At 75 the named bazus are the easiest to solo and I have yet to see any of the named in that region enrage.  Named bazus are 68-70 (71 maybe) and all named chimeras and ferans are 73.  Not saying they don't, just don't recall seeing them, and have been soloing in there almost since TSS came out.

The Bazu Destroyer was a yellow con so probably level 71.  The Chimera Seether hit in the 400 range most of the fight where the bazu hit in the 900 range and I had to back off and pet tank while I healed myself and then when he hit low health I had to use 4 DDs and my BE pet to kill him because he enraged.  I don't plan on going for these two often as I hit WoS to do the murks just in this case the murks were camped so I figured what the heck.

Well I have killed 2 more named since I posted this.  Chimera Deathbringer and Chimera Seether.  Both were yellow cons and both were real easy to solo.  I am oing to try the named in the north wall soon.

Good luck.  I normally don't hunt in that area (though I have in the past).  Don't think I have tried to solo any of the named up there.  My problem is that it seems like people just train the Warfiend by my pull spot on their way to CoA.  They don't bother annuoncing they are doing, they just run right by with him in tow.  After enough deaths by him, don't feel like soloing or boxing wifes mage in that area (go fig).

WoS is so heavily camped atm due to it being a hot-spot at least on Quellious. I think trying to solo new stuff is a good thing - I just wish I had more time to try that out.

GJ on the named in WoS.

Yeah WoS is insane during the day but I typically burn 5-10aa around 10pm or later when its empty.  I mainly stick with Murks and then just check on named before I leave.
