How will this change affect warrior and monk pets?  (i believe mage and bst pets are all warriors, while some necro pets are monks?)  Will the change affect pets'  triple attack attained by AAs or give them innate ability to do so?

It seems to me if theyre a level 72 warrior and get riposte, parry, double attack, /shield, etc as a warrior would, that triple attack skill would be no different.

The same applies to shrouds and high level monster mission characters, whose skills are all manually set, i believe.

This change gives us the flexibility of adding triple attack to NPC's.

This change will not affect any NPC's, including pets, that currently exist in the game. The content that currently exists has been tuned around the fact that NPC's do not have this ability, so I'm going to leave it as is.

That said, there's no guarantee that this won't make an appearance in future content, so beware (the flying gnomes of triple-attacking-doom!).

I think we have a new goal for making our pets marginally more useful

edit: forgot to add, woohoo a dev responded to me :p

Has anybody ever parsed pets to see how close/far they are to/from 100% double attack?  I'm guessing it's a goodly long ways - monks need many AAs and Fero 5/6/7 to reach it.  Warriors don't quite reach it even w/ max AA/gear.

I'd much rather see a better damage table/higher accuracy on the pets, to decrease relative push.

As far as I know our pets almost always quad every round.  They have for years.  Its part of reason pet push used to be worse than PC push in alot of cases.  Over the years PCs now hit alot more than pets and alot faster.

But their quad is from dual weild + double attack; it's not like monks that can quad mainhand, plus 3 offhand attacks (iirc).  If our pets had triple attack, they'd attack up to 6 times per round.

push isnt really an issue if you at all pay attention to your pet.  But this is a skill that it really should have as a warrior that would give it a needed dps boost

Isn't there an aa that gives pets triple attack already? I thought I read that somewhere.

Pet flurry aa's are similar to triple attack but different. So yes and no.

its a tss aa that gives a chance for the pets triple attack to become a flurry attack...IIRC
