Can you please add a 81-85 hunting section?

Thank you,

Jaeren would have to crawl out of whatever rock he's hiding under and make it. I think Khauruk is the only one with his email address that still frequents this forum.

Jaeren pops in w/ some frequency.  If he doesn't see this w/in a few days, remind me to email him.

Any luck getting a hold of him?

Getting ready to take the plunge and ding 81.  i have been working on AA so i am a little more durable in the solo aspect.  Will need some recommendations on new hunting grounds for myself and cleric merc, now that my other spots will surely turn grey.

thanks

Fire good until you ding 84 and it greens.
RSS better than most groups until you want to puke.

The old plow kill is best for the grind to 85.
AA might be another matter...I'm still not quite 85.

Email sent to jaeren.

Sad to say best aa place for me soloing is still RSS getting like 7 aa's in a 30 min lesson.... at 85 btw. But best aa's i got was in Old bloodfield with guild group got 12 aa's in a lesson but that was group... Exp in BB/OCH/OCV/Tosk all suck solo. Discord also sweet zone for aa but you need flags to get in there.

When I was lvl 80 I was able to get 9 aa's and 11 with an outside cleric healing me during lessons. So its not that much less if only lossing 3 aa's with gaining 5 lvls. IMO anytime you want to solo exp find a spot you can mass kill with hardly getting damage so no down time. When finding a spot like that it will only give you maybe 3% a kill but you could go none stop maybe killing 45 in 30 mins and that would net you more exp then maybe a zone giving 8% a kill but you can only kill like 12 because of down time and them beating you up pretty good. I always go lower lvl mobs and mass exp. Why Hot zone are the best IMO>

At 83 can plow the fairies in DSH for an AA every 15-20 mins without LOD. Which is faster than most group LOD in SoD zones.

If you got sub 500 AA then level 4 in mech guardian is 12 AA in 30 on lod, and 7 AA on lod at higher AA levels. Get the explore instance btw, not the missions which are different.

At 83 you get the new nuke, pet and a lot of new DPS AA, so I think its a sweet spot for solo/power, 12k nuke crits are fun, though 10k is more often.

I still prefer my old hiding spot in Loping Plains. I can run a couple AA in a short time with no trouble. This morning I was in Loping Plains killing worgs and wereorcs instead of my old favorite spot, I did this with my 75 dinged 76 mage and lvl 80 cleric and a pair of mercs... lvl 80 tank and 81 healer... plus I had a lvl 80 ranger guildie pulling for me. Got my mage from 75 to 76 starting 63% into the level inside of 3 hours. I think my cleric got about 10 aa or so and i got several... I lost count.

I did alot of my 81-85 grind in RSS, when it was a hot-zone I was hard pressed to find any better xp even with a group.

I haven't tried out vald or dreadspire keep yet. But dreadspire has that fun 5 minute raid ooc timer on trash mobs to deal with.. so I'll probably try vald first.

I got more exp in RSS when hotzone then I do in DSK or Vald. DSK has bad pathing and it does not have raid timer that I saw. But it sucked for exp. Vald was better exp and easy to group or solo. But the Aug from DSK is better lol.

I know this isn't it's own topic yet BUT I am thinking of making the push to 85 and want some ideas of where to go grind it out solo w/ a merc.  I don't have a magelo but you can see my EQplayers thingy for my gear, I have almost 600AA evenly divided between off/def/ and utility AA's but mostly offensive (I think I am almost done with SoF Combat Agility will do Stability next)  anyways I am really looking for ideas on basically best xp vs effort (ie lowest amount of downtime).  Any help is appreciated :)

I would go FC/Ag AG is easier then Fc but think they would give a good return.

attiki might be ok
or even direwind chain pulling
or ashengate and then the zonein and middlepath you can single them for sure with some timing
animals and other stuff in field of scale and kith is easy
and some ocean stuff is doable

try the new hotzones dreadspire and vald

with my merc i can do robot quiteok

loping plains goblins or worgs maybe
or chain killing dragonhills might work also that seems a good one
since lower cons but fast mob drops is mostly good xp
the farm in dhs solo might be quik xp

make sure you getsome high dps weapons
that are available now
by cultural or tier3 4 5

I so need to find a how spot. I used to be able to get 10 aa's a lesson run solo in both RSS and brownies in DS (at 80). RSS is no longer a hot zone but I still can not pull those aa's out. In the hotzones I'm getting like 5 aa's a lessons solo Vald better aa exp for some reason easier pulls too. DS I'm getting around 4-5 per lessons run. Anyone find a good place to solo and burn aa's. I'm gear a tad better then most so my dps is kinda up there and I can take a beating soo I know I can go to higher tiers places. But I know someone also fines a nice spot no matter what with there gear and play style. Just trying to find that sweet spot again :)

I have a box mage with tank merc and myself with cleric merc, pulled 6 aa's off a lod last night in loping doing wereorcs and worgs.
Not sure what the mage got (hes level 78) - was+exp and +aa's

Did figure I can pull more often than I was, so this potentially is 8 or more.

The question is, would it be better to do these with just my merc cleric(slow), or solo (damn slow + fair downtime) or as I am, mob handed and able to take 1/min with no downtime.

Hmm I going to try that and see how many I can get. I have soloed there before but never liked the area.

if you can pull it chain singles
need a other char out of group then

chain killing in don nest maybe did not try that
or some other instant there
