Hmm, sounds like your home provider or something on your computer is blocking the site. Even if it had the old ip still cached from a little while ago, it should load no problem. I have two different servers and I recently moved from one to the other with this site. Try loading http://nixgeek.net/ and see if that loads ok

Very odd. Two completely different providers, two complete different backbones.

This site should be showing up as 68.68.99.32 and the other one as 97.107.136.43

If they both show up right for ip, then I'd say your connection or computer has the issue then, since this site & that one only share dns servers, nothing else.

I too am having this problem. I only just got onto the site by using a proxy server (thanks Khauruk.)

Still needs attention. I cannot connect to either site unless I'm using a proxy, but I can connect just fine from other places.

You can't connect to either site? Thats highly odd, as I said before, the only thing the two have in common are dns servers really besides the software setup (nginx webserver with smf forum software running on top of debian linux)

Can you run a traceroute or mtr to both addresses? That or send me your home ips and I'll see if there is any problem with routing.

I would if I had any idea what that was or how to do it.

Home IP sent.

MTR is a linux thing, although I bet a windows version exists somewhere. It's sort of a combined ping and traceroute tool.

To do a traceroute:

Get to a command prompt. Start->Run->cmd

"tracert", comes with Windows. It takes either an IP address or a URL address as input.

Examples (in my case these two give the same output...in your case, it might not):

tracert beastlords.org

tracert 68.68.99.32

To copy stuff from the command window, just highlight what you want with the mouse and press ENTER. Then you can paste it like normal into any other text editor.

Nusa: http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/ ;)

I fixed (I think anyway, need to confirm with him) Inphared's problem. Basically, his ip is in the 173. range which used to be only internal but is now open for internet usage. The default list of internal (and blocked) addresses for my firewall include the old way, that it's internal only. So i removed that and he should be fine now. Still waiting for the real ip for greg to see if he also suffers from the same trouble

Yeah, I figured it might. For anyone else with a similiar problem on their own sites, if you run a firewall with BOGON, make sure it's kept up to date. ;)
