As a returning player I am using it as a resource.

I went through my bank and my bags to come up with this collection of weapons to parse.  All parsed on the same dummy, with the same buffs, and on the same day.  I was 110 at the time with all AA through RoS.

Fighting from rear position.

I haven't played in a very long time but occasionally lurk to see how things are going. I'd definitely love to get back into it if I could lol

I haven't played EQ in a long long time. I still check if this place is on fire though ;)

I still come here to reference the information.  I feel bad that I stopped posting when RoS launched, but it got into my head that the information posted here was influencing negative changes to the game.  I was a huge advocate of running quad lifetaps and using bloodlust as an offensive and defensive disc at the same time.  It gave beastlords the ability to tank for about 45 seconds.   The devs used itemization to basically kill off this ability by dropping lifetaps and going to more damage with a percentage return style proc.  This did increase damage but at a huge reduction in healing and survivability.

This got into my head and made me very hesitant to pass along tips and tricks.  I now realize that as a community we are becoming a small minority.  It is sad when you can't get even 2 beastlords on a raid so you can utilize alliance.  Maybe if I share more information it might bring more people to roll a beastlord and become one of the few... the proud... the beastlords!

If you haven't played in a while, here are some changes.

Your warder can hold aggro even when you enter melee range.
You do not have to switch targets to heal your pet.  Pet heals automatically target your warder.
We get a single target version of Paragon of Spirits that refreshes much faster.
We get a version of cannibalism that converts HP to mana similar to a Shaman.
We get feign death similar to a Monk.
We get a set of special combat skills (kicks and strikes) that trigger de-aggro abilities and feral swipe
You can now set combat skills to autofire. No more kick tied to a hot button.

I was attempting to find out if the Threads of Potential effect was of value, especially for ranged fights.  What I found in my testing was:

It works fine on straight dmg spells and DoTs, but it does not appear to work on multi-component nukes such as:

These 2 spells are a big part of a BST's nuke rotation. Threads of Potential would be helpful for ranged fights if it worked with these 2 spells.  I bugged it and posted it on the forums, but with it only working with a few nukes/Dots it is of limited use on ranged fights.  It is better than Boon of the Seeress for ranged fights, but it could even be better if it worked with all of our nukes.
