Question about warder procing a weapon.

Last night a bought my warder a Greatstaff of Thunder  as it was a very cheap weapon and thought the stun proc may be useful.
Well after i gave it to my warder nothing ever happened. All night he never proced it and when i looked at his hits he was still doing claw damage and not  blunt damage. Allah says it procs at lvl 55 so that shouldnt be a problem. And if it has something to do with the damage / delay well then why will the warder proc a kunzar ku'juch or serrated dagger and not this.  :shock:

Think it had more to do with the fact that it's 2hb.  Haven't tested in awhile, but pretty sure there was a point where pet wouldn't take 2h weapons anymore because he lost DW.  Don't really remember atm though, but I'm guessing that's what it is.
