Beastlord PvP issues...

Did you know EQ had PvP?  Yup it does lol.  There have been a lot of changes to pvp hitting test and the like, but I'd like to see what beastlords feel are beastlord related pvp issues.

On the whole i think Pets are unbalanced in pvp. Yes they have hit less than they do pve. But. pets have their own resist check like a regular npc.
Pets have their masters resist checks in pve. If ever there is a way to fix it so it also is that way in pvp- I think it would be a major assurance for pet classes that their pet progresses with them beyond the pve foci of Summoners Boon and Minion of Eternity.

To my knowledge. these spirit proc spells are : Beneficial Buffs that bestow the warder with a combat initiate spell proc. When i look at this, I read Spirit of Relicc's raw data it says, neg 87 pvp base neg 117 pvp cap.
Why are pvp spell resists on beneficial buffs? Spirit of Relic Strike (the actual spell cast being the warder) has no pvp resist settings what so ever.

neg 200 pvp resist check on combat initiate lifetap procs.


2) Beastlords do not get Fear. But they do get Blind. I have noticed on pve servers. Blind does NOT affect pets in anyway. Is this intentional? why has it been made to not work like that on pve? This is a important spell which pve servers never will get to know. Also, Fear and Charm still do work on pve servers. Yes Charm makes someone go LD and you control that player as a pet yet years ago Charm and fear were removed from pvp servers because of people sending others on guards making them lose experience or becoming open to attacks from players that shouldnt be able to hit them at all.

3) When you use pet hold, it does not remove the hate list of the pet. Therefore a pet class cannot Suspend or cast Summon Companion. I would like that to get fixed.

I play on a blue server, but one issue I think is long overdue a fix is the way you lose xp if you die due to a DoT in PvP. I can't believe this is hard to fix!

Incidentally, fear and charm no longer work in PvP on blue servers.

Iksar Bst pets Freeze when they proc.   this allows the person / mob they are attacking to move out of range while the pet just sits there.  no other bst class has this problem.  while this is an issue on the blue servers it is an even bigger issue for us iksar on the pvp servers.

would really like this looked at soon as it is a bug that affects iksar's game play.

Wow - are you serious, Zentrel? I always thought that my pet freezing was an animation problem only. Is it really the case that the pet just sits there for a second or two after it procs? Presumably it is still attacking in that period?

it is still attacking but it does not move...  as in;  if the pet was chasing a mob and proced it would "freeze" in place while the mob continued to run away from it.

so "technically" it is an animation bug but it does affect the warder/bst if your kiting and more especially in PvP where the opponent is always moving.

***edit -- I don't do pvp w/ my iksar bst as i'm on a blue server w/ him but there is a post about this on the eqlive bst board from an iksar bst on the subject.

Just want to mention that on vz and prolly the other zeks there is no xp loss from falling, drowning, dots(including mob dots)

Played on trib for a couple levels found out about environment deaths and was horrified because of how common they can be.

Actual pvp issues, not alot to say. I don't spend much time in pvp because it's too frustrating w/ a comp thats always too laggy from a low end grafx card.  

One question I have is about the proc buffs.  Was it saying they're unresistable?  I'm getting in the habit of keeping spirit of flame/snow on because most everyone jacks up mr(rellic).

When I do I like to hide in the middle of neth and wait for people to come in to eliminate sow/horse/bard speed issues.

Maybe the most frustraing are the teams people are stuck to on vz/tz.
Guild wars don't happen because it has to be set up between guilds.
Change the coding of thse servers to that would solve the main issues of immy healing and just watching guildmates die cause you can't help.

Give us Rake back imo not wrighting out a story just get it back for us pls....also pet pathing ikky pet freez makes it just about useless in pvp..

What do you mean "give us rake back"?

there's a post in the top forum about it.  They made rake no longer affect PCs, only NPCs, making it useless in a pvp environment.

Yeah, another case of beastlords getting caught up in bigger changes imo.  *shrugs*  The real issue was monks and ashen, but they changed other abilities as well.  I'm not sure if rake will come back, but I plan to atleast see.

used to love rake in pvp this makes me sad = /. nothen like beating a roge down to low life watchin him turn and run them hit him with a fast nuke rake feral swipe and roar while discing and see him fall to the ground withen a second
